Works great except when it’s humid. We left it overnight with the previous days grounds in it and it got so humid that night that the wooden lid expanded and cracked the glass. That was definitely user error so I’m not taking any stars away but just a warning! Don’t close it it with wet grounds in it in case it gets humid in your house😂

I love the aesthetic and perceived functionality; however, the thin glass broke after one use. I am soooo disappointed because the product appears to be great and when I did use it…it worked perfectly. I would like a replacement so I can finally enjoy this great presser!

Extremely disappointed. Ordered May 30, delivered the 31st, today is June 3rd. I have used this TWICE! There seems to be a flaw in the bottom of the glass that cracked and gave way today and now it leaks. Unusable now. Quality is so upsetting.

Price is great, clean up is great, holds enough liquid. Why 4 star? The glass container will fall out one day soon. It's snug, not secure. Must keep a thumb on end so glass container doesn't fall out. In my drinking land, this is a two hand hot water tumbler.

makes clean coffee without a filter, it does leave some dark sludge in the bottom but it's not that bad. put coffee in the pot with small amount of water to soak the coffee first, press slow for stronger coffee,

worked great for a few weeks. you definitely have to follow the directions and 'pre-heat' the glass with warm/hot tap water before pouring hot water into the glass press. it will crack. compared to other french presses the glass is a bit thin. had to throw it away when it cracked top to bottom, will find one that has thicker glass.

Update: October 2025 It's obvious now that the "just sturdy enough" part of my previous review wasn't quite true. I ordered this press in March 2024 and have used it about 15 times in total. Something caused it to break. I'm not sure what happened, but was not from a drop or tap. I heard something make the sound of cracking ice on the counter and saw a break I picked it up to check it out and it fell off. I will say that the metal band around the jar is quite snug, so probably all the contraction and expansion became too stressful over time. This shouldn't happen. Seems t be an indication of poorly formulated glass. The glass is relatively thinner than the other two presses I have had. I'm sad because I was really enjoying this press but this just renders it useless. ----- I am not a big coffee drinker but enjoy making coffee on the stove in the winter. It just tastes better brewed over heat. For me, it's like heating the house with good vs. the radiator, vs. forced hot air vs. electric. They all exude a different feel. I haven't used many French presses, but this functioned the best out of the previous one that I had. I didn't get a lot of sediment and the coffee was divine. All of the components seemed just sturdy enough. It's cute to display.
