MARDOG Repitat Flat-Backed Reptile Habitat, 5-Gallon

Seems much larger then 5 gallons which is exactly what I wanted. Looks great, feels very stable with construction and the lid fits securely on the top. I am using it to house large snails and slugs and the design is perfect to allow me to view them and for them to have a great deal of movement. Liked it so much I bought two more to replace out my older low habitats.

Overall, pretty good product. Quality looks decent. Plastic aquarium. Metal top is solid and heavy enough to keep most pets inside. I'd be careful with snakes tho. They are a lot stronger than you think and can sometimes push lids up and escape. On mine, the mesh screen is a tad bit loose on one side. It just looks like it wasn't crimped into the frame all the way in that one area. A hammer and a punch can fix that pretty quick tho, at the cost of possibly scratching the black paint a bit. My biggest complaint tho is that mine arrived with a 2-inch crack in the corner of the clear plastic. The shipping box wasn't damaged at all so this was obviously an item that was already damaged and whoever packed it up and shipped it didn't notice or just didn't care. I will be contacting the seller and hopefully can get it worked out. If it turns into a nightmare, I'll update this review, but if you don't hear anything further about it then they took good care of me with either a return or exchange or whatever. If the crack wasn't there though, I would give it four stars. It meets expectations. I only give five stars if a product clearly exceeds my expectations.

This tank is great! Over the summer I adopted a couple white tree frog tadpoles and we have one left. He was in desperate need of a larger area so I purchased this. Its the perfect size for him, and I can still keep a couple inches of water in the bottom one side, and a higher area of rocks on the other. He seems very content in his new home, and I feel that it will last him the rest of his froggy life. Please note though, the first one I ordered did arrive damaged with one of the corners smashed in. Since I needed it to hold water, I contacted Amazon about it, and they sent out a replacement right away. The new one arrived in perfect condition, and holds water just fine.

It's a good tank. Mine came slightly damaged, but clearly that isn't a problem with the item but rather the shipping and/or packaging. One downside is that the grid on the lid is big enough for fruit flies to escape, so I will need to get some sort of screen to add to it. This would be fine for animals that prey on crickets, but if you have a fly eater you need to anticipate getting some sort of screen.

This habitat is exactly what I was looking for! It holds my Terrestrial slugs very well, it has a heavy, but easy to remove & replace lid, The Enclosure itself holds humidity extremely well once the top is covered, because it's plastic! The plastic is VERY 100% crystal clear, even when it's dirty, and even when it's Fogged up, really! It has had no leaks, no cracks or breaks, and has overall been excellent! The only reason I even had to cover the screen top was because my slugs were small enough to escape, and i figured out they're more active with more humidity. Just a 10/10 rating from me! Would absolutely recommend to others & buy again!

We recently purchased a hermit crab while on vacation. My son later purchased two more crabs, so we needed something bigger than the small habitat we had. This has been great. The crabs have plenty of room to move around. We do use the coconut fiber mixed with hermit crab sand. Also, we have a heating pad, that I keep underneath it to maintain the correct level of humidity for them. This cage is extremely durable, and worth the cost (I paid $35 from Amazon). It is perfect to use with hermit crabs!

I actually had to re-order this reptile habit twice & ended up with having to return both. Each time, the tank was placed in a box with no packing materials for cushion. It had one piece of brown paper on top,which did nothing. The first habitat was cracked from top to bottom on one of the sides. And the second one had scratches and rub marks all over. The Amazon rep that I dealt with last said that it could not be replaced a third time & would not re-order again.

I just received mine and the box was not wrapped properly it looked like a 5 year old shipped it. when i opened the box it was broken and pieces were insode the cage i can easily cover the open hole but still i wasnt to happy but for the money its a decent size cage
