TOPDON AD600S Upgrade

An awesome scan tool for all the small time DIY'ers and even mobile techs as it has most features necessary for the basic resets and gives great detailed DTC readouts. Limited bidrectional control unless bought the $60/year upgrade and even then, still worth it without upgrade. Has many compatibilities with tons of different makes and models and is very easy to install OBD cable to scanner with a screw down connector. Lifetime updates is another main reason I got this and well, to bleed my ABS module on my 06 Chevy 1500 after changing calipers and lines.

Artidaig600 review I had the chance to use this for a few weeks, I have been a technician for 30-plus years, and I have been around many different scanners. Nice little unit, that fits the hands nicely, the controls are easy to navigate, screen is decently sized, responsive, and readable under most conditions. Free lifetime updates are a bonus even to the casual user. Auto VIN feature works nicely, on occasion it scans more than just the PCM/SRS/ABS/TRANS . I have seen wireless controls (Chrysler) TPMS, and central gateway scans among some other systems. The graphing feature along with stacking graphs together is a bonus. Newer FCA (Chrysler/Jeep etc.) need the 12+8 cable to bypass the secure gateway, it will read data but will not write data to the vehicle. You will not be able to clear codes without it. The Android interface is pretty direct forward, not the usual issues I have with other Android units. It doesn't lag like some others, the 32GB storage is more than enough, and some updates like VW can be over a GB.. Do update it on WIFI, not your phone... Updates seem to be frequent and installed easily. WIFI works nicely. Screenshots, screen record and the data replay work well easy to navigate and find. If you plan on typing on the screen for notes or feedback, use a stylus. Updates seem frequent and install without issue. The Library, TSB's are not easy to navigate, but for a reason. It's divided up into many subfolders to keep the number down and get lost in a sea of them. I just recommend looking these up online. The warning light library is basic at best. The DTC repair guide is VERY generic, a new user can get in trouble fast, replacing parts and not doing a proper diagnostic. The I/M part is great for repair verification and seeing if the monitor(s) have completed for State vehicle inspections. The battery voltage graph is a nice feature, even though it displays voltage on the screen while scanning. Reports are nice, I just wish I could print them more easily. Maintenance resets work for the most part where I expected them to. Some vehicles need a higher-end scanner for SOME resets. Generic OBDII/EOBD works great, I always recommend a scan with it also. Generic also holds some invaluable data for diagnostics. Solid unit for a mid-range scanner, and worked on almost everything I threw at it. 5/5 Stars...

TOPNOTCH!! I absolutely LOVE this thing! I own a mobile mechanic business and I’ve always wanted one of these! I had a different brand before but it NEVER did anything that topdon does! It does a lot more than I even expected it to do after I got done playing around with it. I’ve had my eye set on this one just because of the free updates with no subscription! I love how sensitive the touch screen is, the fact that I can use it without having to actually plug it in, is amazing! Battery life is amazing! Except when you start updating the software. I was able to even run a diagnostic on a 2007 Benz! So the compatibility is amazing! Just overall an amazing device and quality on point!

Pretty good piece of tool for your toolbox. It has the software that can diagnose most manufacturers cars from Americans, European and Japanese made cars.

Amazing scanner. There is a lot you can do with this, would not hesitate to buy again.

I’m really happy with this car scanner. It was super easy to set up and connected to my vehicle within minutes. The device quickly read the trouble codes and gave clear information about what was going on with my car. It saved me a trip to the mechanic just to diagnose the issue. The app interface is user-friendly and the live data feature is very helpful. I was able to clear a check engine light without any problems. The build quality feels solid and reliable, and the connection has been stable every time I’ve used it. For the price, this scanner offers excellent value. If you’re looking for a dependable and easy-to-use OBD2 scanner, I definitely recommend this one!

Nice large screen, easy to use, great addition to my toolbox

seems to be a great scan tool but wouldnt reset by SAS sensor which is what i bought it for.. it said my sensor was out of adjustment, but wouldnt reset it... it was very easy to use and scanned the vin and all and recognized the vehicle and had a lot of info available about the car... but ultimately didnt do what i needed so i returned it... not sure if it was the tools fault or the senor, i never fixed it i just bought i new car instead... i just wanted to trade it in without any dash lights on but that didnt happen.. lol

I e used this on both my 15 pilot and 11 Nissan Sentra it’s paid for itself in what has already been done in two weeks . No complaints at all .

For the price, this scanner is good but I wish I spent more money on another scanner... I feel they might be able to do more things... but this one works great once you get the hang of it

El inicio es rápido, realmente la batería le dura poco pero es normal, no usarás el escáner en algún lugar enmedio del desierto así que fuera de eso lo demás está bien ( eso si tardará muchísimo en descargar y actualizar todos los modelos de autos )

Too long to update and didn't update as needed.
