I’m always curious to try different herbal remedies, and shilajit was no exception. Admittedly, this was my first time using a resin, so I had to do a little research. Turns out you just add it to a drink or take it sublingually, so easy peasy.As for the company, I’m on the fence. While I appreciate that they posted independent lab results of heavy metal testing, I couldn’t find any other substantive information online about the brand. They do have a website, but there’s not much outside of providing information about the product. So I hope Healthetic will considering offering more transparency for potential customers.That being said, I do like it. First off, the smell is interesting. Kind of tobacco-ish. It’s a bit hard to pinpoint. Definitely earthy, and fairly pleasant. The taste is smoky, a little bitter and also earthy. It dissolves easily and the taste does linger for a bit. I’ve only tried it sublingually, and I have to say that a little goes a long way. At least with me. I get a boost of energy within a few minutes after ingestion. So it’s easy to see why this is recommended for increased energy and cognitive function.Overall, while I do wish the company was more transparent, I am definitely a fan of this product.

This is a supplement that I learned about only recently, but I’m loving it. Shilajit is mineral-rich and the benefits it claims are improvements in energy levels, athletic function, cognitive function, and male fertility. I’m a woman, but it’s safe and beneficial for women as well. I have a history of borderline iron-deficient anemia, and this is rich in iron and overall helps absorption of nutrients. That’s one reason it could actually be great for women (thanks to menstruation, woman are more commonly anemic). Taking this supplement, I feel subtly energized and clear-headed. The energy I feel isn't drug-like, like caffeine, but more like an absence of any fatigue that a nutrient deficiency may have been creating. The effect is not dramatic, but I know that even if I don’t feel hugely different, I’m doing something good for my health thanks to the minerals.Its flavor is slightly bitter and very earthy. If you try it straight, it’s too bitter. When dissolved in a glass of warm water, as recommended, it’s delicious to me, like an earthy tea (I like things some other people don’t, like whiskey neat, however my sister and boyfriend tasted it too and both liked it). It should be nice and diluted to a light brown (see photo). If the flavor bothers you, you can always dissolve it in tea or something with some sweetness to balance it out. Personally, I love drinking it dissolved in warm water with unflavored collagen. To me, that’s a very comforting and lovely drink.The packaging in undeniably classy. I love the black jar and the tiny gold spoon. The spoon works well to stir until the shilajit dissolves.The product itself is a viscous, dark, sticky liquid, a little tar-like, but not as thick and dark as photos of other shilajit that look almost solid and black. I’ve not tried shilajit from any other source, so I’m only comparing it to photos. This one is slightly thinner and more brownish (still very thick and almost black).I've taken it daily for about 15 days so far, and I think I will repurchase it. With supplements, it's so hard to tell whether they're making a difference, but I enjoy the flavor so much, and I know it's nutritious. Sometimes I find myself craving a warm cup of it because I enjoy drinking it that much.

This shilajit is runny, does not dissolve very well, and leaves granules in the bottom of the cup. It also turned to charcoal when burned, which is not supposed to when it’s supposedly Pure.

I put it in my coffee and don’t notice any taste. I haven’t noticed any effects, but supplements sometimes take time to truly see progress.It comes as a liquid and a small scoop to spoon it out. The instructions say to use a pea sized portion. The spoon doesn’t really help with any accuracy in measuring. I think the instructions could be clearer on the portion size. It does not dissolve easily so be prepared for that as well.

It is a dark resin with a fairly strong earthy and bitter taste. it can be taken sublingually or mixed in with a beverage. It has a potent taste when taken sublingually so I have been mixing it in water. This comes with a dosing spoon to make it easier to get the right amountI have been taking it daily for about a week and haven't had any negative effects or upset stomach. I have noticed some modest positive results such as an overall increased energy level, but this might be the kind of thing that takes a little time of consistent use for the benefits to manifestI am not familiar with the company manufacturing this, and with these kinds of unregulated products it can be hard to know if it's a quality product. They do have some third party testing results posted on Amazon which I appreciate. Time will tell if this is something I will stick with long term. I am going to keep taking it daily for a month or so and decide if it's right for me
