As a newbie container gardener, I like this RainPoint system a lot. Setup took just a few minutes and the kit came with everything listed. I purchased and acquired a lot of different veggie and herb seeds, and just 3 days after setting up the RainPoint kit, my basil, broccolini, collard greens, and Calendula flower seeds have all sprouted (tarragon should be pushing through the blackout sticker covering any day now as well). This system is a nice size, has a great design, and fits perfectly on an end table.I wish the power buttons on the top weren’t so easy to accidently press. There were a couple times where I shut the system off trying to raise/lower the grow light and had to restart the 16hr on/8 hr off cycle. Overall, this kit is great so far and would purchase again.

I've been using this hydroponic system for about three weeks and am impressed with how well it works and how easy it is to use. I have a few other RainPoint products (solar-powered outdoor watering system and two WIFI pumps) – all of them work well and are a great bang for the buck and this one is up to that same level of quality.Getting started with it is easy and RainPoint's instructions are thorough and easy to follow. It comes with everything you need to get started except seeds – make sure you buy good-quality and fresh seeds for best results. After setting the system up, I used a mixture of kale, lettuce, and chard seeds, and got my first sprouts in less than 48 hours! Within a few more days, most of the 13 pods already had sprouts. The instructions said it could take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for sprouts to form, so I was pleased to see how quickly them came up.Once you have things set up, there's almost no maintenance required. Once you start getting sprouts, you should remove the the little plastic covers, and otherwise, all you have to do is add a little plant food once per month and keep the water level high. In my three weeks, the water level has hardly dropped at all and I haven't needed to add any.The pictures range from about the 3-week mark going back to the 1-day mark.I live in a cold climate and during peak winter even my greenhouse gets to cold to grow many plants. This is a great way to keep growing throughout the winter and you can set it up almost anywhere. There's a good chance I'll be getting another!

I purchased the RAINPOINT Hydroponics Growing System Kit because it is the middle of Winter where I live, and I want Fresh, Non-Toxic, Vegetables. I was very impressed that it was packaged well and is very easy to set up. The parts are packaged by type and it even includes plant food as well. It is important to note that there are two water outlet covers. You NEED to place one in the bottom of the tank before you add water. The other is a spare. This was not explained well and I found out the hard way when water came out of the bottom.The kit includes Everything that you need to start growing except the actual seeds and of course, water. Purchasing your own seeds is less expensive than pods with seeds, and it allows you to plant whatever you want. It will accommodate up to 13 plants and even has tags so you can easily identify what is growing. If you choose not to plant in every one of the 13 planting locations, due the size of your mature plants, there are 6 black covers provided to limit any possibility of contaminates or mold. Before planting, you need to soak the seeds in water for 4-6 hours and soak the planting sponges in water for at least 5 minutes. To make it easier to place the seed in the planting sponges, there is a pair of tweezers included.The unit itself has two growing modes. One for Vegetables (non-fruit bearing plants) and one for Fruits (things like tomatoes, peppers, etc.). The main difference is the LED lighting that is used and what configuration is best for what you are trying to grow. The lighting hood telescopes up will accommodate up to a 12" plant. You want to keep the light about 4-5 inches above the actual plant for optimum growing. Keeping this in mind, you may need to prune your plants so they don't get out of hand. The water circulating pump is so quiet, I had to look inside the water inlet and see the water move so I knew it was working.The thing I like the best is that after the easy set up, it is pretty much a "Set It and Forget It." Everything is automatic so you just have to check and/or tend to it every 3-7 days or so. As the plants mature, they will use more water so it will need to be added more frequently as time goes on. If it is in a room where the light may bother your eyes, you can always place a towel over it.Overall, this is a great product and I recommend it especially for first timers.

This Indoor Hydroponic Garden Kit is such a cute little compact device that lets me easily grab herbs I need to cook in my kitchen! I was honestly surprised by how fast and easy it was to grow and maintain. Because it allows plant growth up to 12”, you do have to watch out and cut/prune every now and then, but my plants are still healthy and fresh after a month! I planted chives, lemon balm, basil, thyme, and peppers! 🌶️ They almost all grew to edible sizes in about a month. The pepper took a little longer.A few things to note:- The light cycle is 16:8 and not adjustable. I would like to see a new model in which we could choose our own times and that turning it on/off doesn’t affect it.- There is no water temperature regulator, so we just have to make sure the water isn’t too hot/cold for our plants when replacing. I haven’t had much issue with this, though.This indoor grower is so efficient to use, and I love how accessible it is to cook with. I would recommend using it even with your kids to get them started on planting! RainPoint did it again. :)
