3 great features: 1) Pressure shutoff switch 2) Inflator bypass valve 3) Deflator tool
The compressor shuts off automatically if the pressure in the hose gets above 160psi. There are many videos online of users upgrading similar compressors by adding such a pressure shutoff switch. I like that this compressor already has one built in. Ironically, I actually don't often utilize the automatic shutoff because of the 2nd great feature: the bypass valve built into the inflator gauge attachment. My process: 1. Attach the inflator gauge to the valve stem. 2. Fill the tire to an actively-inflating pressure (higher than actual static pressure) that I know from experience results in an actual static pressure roughly equal to my target pressure. 3. Open the bypass to shunt the airflow. (The pumped air flows out of the base of the inflator gauge attachment instead of into the tire.) 4. Read the actual static pressure shown on the inflator gauge. 5. If too low, close the bypass and inflate some more. 6. If too high, use the deflate button. 7. Detach the inflator gauge from the valve stem. 8. Move to next tire. Repeat. No need to run back and turn off the compressor to determine actual static pressure. No need to remove the inflator gauge and test actual static pressure with a second gauge. The compressor simply keeps running all the time, even while switching between tires. No need to stop and start the compressor. A third great feature is using the inflator gauge as a standalone deflator tool. I attach it to a valve stem, open the bypass valve to bulk-release air, close the bypass valve to check psi, then use the deflate button to fine tune the last bit of deflation down to my target pressure. All of the above is more efficient with a clip-on chuck. AstroAI should include a clip-on chuck in addition to the screw-on chuck.

Absolute Quality and Speed
This thing works so well and is made so solid that I am tempted to order another one just to have another experience as satisfying as this one was. I have used it multiple times on 100psi tires and the only warning I have is to keep an close eye on it. It is so much faster than anything I have used that I over inflated two of my rv tires. If you need something to rely on in the dark on the side of the road this is it. This kit has all of the gadgets and components that you could need for tire inflation. And all in a nice canvas case to keep it organized. My tires are 100 psi and it fills faster than most commercial air compressors. I highly recommend this unit if you need a mobile solution.

18psi to 36 psi in under 2 minutes!
This thing pumps up my 33x11s from 18 psi to 36 psi in under 2 minutes. I love this compressor! Sturdy built. Gauge works great. Hose attachment gets warm after a couple tires but they all do that. Highly recommend!

Not worth it.....
Got it to take in the RV. I run off road 225/75 R16 tires; 75 psi in front and 80 for duallies. I have owned it for over a year. It is heavy, loud and slow and HOT. After 1 tire, it is hot to the touch so I can't remove the quick connect. Of course it is so slow that it takes at least 10 minutes to get 1 tire up to correct pressure; losing an hour+ to do all 6 tires. I've tried different chucks, had other people try it to make sure it wasn't user error, etc and nothing helps. The neighbors come over to see what I am doing and complain. I only use it when I have to and still have major issues with it. The power switch stopped working after a handful of uses so it is ALWAYS on and about the same time it started to spark when I attach it to the car battery-so more reasons I don't like to use it. I got it for safety as I am a solo full time RV traveler who goes off-road/boondocking and wanted a 12V so I can use it no matter where I am. Does it fill up the tires? Yes EVENTAULLY but the sparking, power button malfunction, weight, speed, and sound issues negate anything positive. I tried to go the cheaper route thinking how different could they be? Sadly, VERY. Saving up for a VIAIR 450P-RV EF.

Great pump that's a real time saver
This thing is awesome! Goes from 9lb to 36 in maybe 90 sec-2minutes. Very efficient! Easy to use. Only complaint is the plastic covers on the clips won't stay put. And the alligator clips themselves could be bigger for easier attaching. But overall, well worth the money. Saves so much time over smaller/cheaper pumps (I bought one of those first and wish I'd just started with this one).

Great for the price
Great air pump for the price. Full disclosure, I am new to air compressors, as this is the first one I have ever purchased, so I cannot comment on how it rates against competitors. But as a newbie, the instructions were clear, and their staff did send out an additional support email to me giving some decent beginner pointers. I did purchase a heavier duty one than I really need at this moment, since in the future I am planning on doing some off-roading. I've used it two times so far, once on a 2020 Highlander Limited, aired up each tire from around 30 to the recommended 36 PSI, and each tire took less than 30 seconds. I took much more time moving the hose to each tire. This kit did not come with a quick release, so having to screw on the inflator to each tire did take a bit of time. The second time was on a 2024 4Runner TRD Pro. Each tire was aired up from around 27 to the recommended 32 PSI, and again each tire took less than 30 seconds. I did have a quick connector this time, purchased elsewhere, which sped up the whole process. Overall very satisfied. The power connector going from the air compressor to the battery is a tad short, giving a slight issue on the Highlander due to battery position, but still very workable. The inflator tool is digital, and it does have PSI increments down to 1/10. I believe it is accurate, as it matched the TPS systems for 2 different Toyotas. The air hose that came with it was plenty long enough to reach all tires without having to move the compressor at all. Slight criticism - the inflator tool does not use a grip, so it requires two hands to hold the tool to begin inflation and adjust a slider to stop inflation to check the pressure. Probably not a huge issue for the majority of folks. I haven't had much time using this, only owning it for about a month, but may give more info after using it for a few months, especially if I do any airing down for off-roading.

I like that this compressor has plenty of power, it’s easy to use/put together and the hose is long enough to reach to the back of any normal sized vehicle. The battery clamps aren’t the most durable (the reason why I’m giving this 4 stars) but they are large enough to fit on larger battery post connectors. That being said…. I am a female and for this reason, I wouldn’t suggest purchasing this compressor unless you’re familiar with your vehicle’s battery location and, are familiar with how to connect/disconnect an air chuck. The directions are written for people who have a mechanical background, not for someone who has never put air in a tire. The suggestions read: Accuracy, Functionality, Weight, Design, and Heat level The Pressure gage reads accurately. It’s functional hence, it airs up tires. The design is compact, it weighs almost 20 lbs and it does heat up quickly so, be careful where you pick it up.

Air pump works great - Pressure gauge not so great!
I purchased this item to have a temporary solution. My 10 gallon 30 year old air compressor finally broke down so I figured to have something to inflate my RAM 2500 tires I try this compressor. The little emergency compressors would burn out or the hose connection to the compressor would melt before I can fill one tire. SO, This compressor works great - Filled my tires in record time. I was a bit disappointed that the pressure gauge that it came with failed to work. Luckily, I have a separate pressure gauge so I was able to read the pressure, but I would have liked to have it on the air hose as I was filling the tires as opposed to constantly taking it off and checking... Otherwise - Item works as intended. Good buy for the price - just have a pressure gauge handy.
