Next Time

As with most of Robin's books, I found this an effortless read; enjoyable and fun, with some great characters. And these two main characters were definitely favorites.The set up was simple, but well done. The drama never too full on, and the laughs never too forced. This book - though still full of levity - felt a little more mature than some of Robin's other work. There was a seriousness that was dealt with very deftly.I really just adored Payton and Ryan, and their way of speaking with each other (the teasing playfulness) reminded me a lot of my girlfriend and I. It was nice to read.One of my favorites from this author.

This has to be one of the best lesbian romance stories I have read in a long time. The story opens with Olivia a psychologist, interviewing our two main characters (Payton and Ryan) on how they met and how their love blossomed. As their story unfolds we learn more about the characters and the problems they see stopping them from rushing into a relationship. The dialogue was witty to such a point that I received some very strange looks from fellow commuters as I found myself crying with laughter at some of the one liners.If there is one book you buy this year, buy this one.

Really enjoyed this book. It shares the same funny aspects as the other books I've read by Ronin. She draws the reader in with her story lines and characters. The humour and the romance are a prefect combination.

Oh my, I have laughed out loud at parts of this book. Really enjoyed the story and loved the main characters Would kinda like a Ryanne of my own. Buy this if you enjoy a rollicking romance.

The day Robin Alexander writes the Louisiana phone book, I will buy it. This is another good one from her, definitely one of my favorites.The easy dialogue between Ryann and Peyton is what made it interesting. Many novels focus on what the characters DO before they get to the big i-love-yous. This novel is about what they think, what they feel and what they have to say. I truly had the feeling they were soul mates, which is heart warming. Of course, the author's signature sense of humor adds lightness to the story. Ryann's sister, in particular, is a hoot.

Robin Alexander never lets you down...her books are such a pleasure to read and this one is no exception!Her stories stay with the reader...looking so forward to her next one!

Robin Alexander has done it again with a sweet, funny, romantic story about finding love after a breakup and finding a soul to match your own.Robin keeps her trademark sense of humor in this story as she does with her other tales, but it is always well balanced with the romance and laugh-out-loud. It is like watching a good sitcom, where you know it will be fun, but the laughter is in the surprise of when it comes, and how well it is set up.With that being said, the romantic portion is wonderful, too. You get to know the characters, with their inner musings and doubts, and look forward to cheering them on their journey to each other and happiness.All supporting characters are fun to get to know, too. They each have their roles to play and it is fun to see how they contribute to the main story. I just wish I had some neighbors and family like I read about in Robin's tales....or then again, maybe not, lol. They are all quite entertaining!There was an interesting premise to the book, with the story being told to another person who was conducting an interview of the romantic leads for a project she was working on. I liked this. It allowed for an easy transition from the characters in present day, to the characters relating their history from the past.Robin's writing is always 'smooth' and dialogue flows naturally. This kind of book is what Sunday afternoons are for; relaxing on the couch, having a warm cup of tea close by, and becoming lost in the enjoyment of a story from a masterful teller of romantic tales. Highly recommend.

Extremely funny book. I found myself laughing myself to tears more than once but I do have to say that anyone that writes about chocolate chip and cauliflower cookies is one sick and twisted person. The thought has me shuddering just mentioning it. I’ll be sniffing my chocolate chip cookies for months looking cauliflower traces. Great book. A must read!

...Pow, a one-two shot to the funny and the feels. She gets me every time! Robin Alexander is the only romance author I’ve ever read capable of routinely churning out slapstick.Like, how on earth does physical comedy translate to the written word so apparently effortlessly for her? Maybe it’s the irreverence that laces every line her characters speak...I dunno. I dunno how she does it.

If you are a fan of Robin Alexander's books, you will not be disappointed. Great sense of humor and awesome dialogue between characters (and a little bit of steam). Can't say awesome enough about this book. The only negative thing about Next Time is that it had to end. Would really love to read more adventures of Payton and Ryann.

The story line was a new twist, as its not the usual, girl meets girl, and girl gets girl immediately.It takes you on an adventure ride of discovery for two people who want to be together, but circumstances prevent.This story, [as all Ms. Alexander's are] is so well written. Taking you on that "ride" and pulling you in.But to me, most of all, is the way she makes you feel each individuals story is really happening as you read.Her sense of humor is astounding! I have never laughed this hard in quite some time.I find myself driving in my car, and thinking of something from this book, and laughing out loud!loved It! For Ms. Alexander I hope there will always be a "Next Time"

When i can read 4 titles by the same author and claim they're all great reads....I'm convinced- another hilarious, romantic ride in this book- how does she do it? Don't know, but really glad she writes- i would hate to know i had missed this writer's beautiful stories- what a talent.

I am so happy to have found this author - the story was exactly what I was looking for and the tone and pace of the conversation flowed soo well - it was as if I was talking to my friends - I loved it - very funny and very affectionate and all around relatable.Could have enjoyed it more if there was a little more of the steamier scenes - you really get the sense that these two were really soul mates - I can say wholeheartedly that this author succeeded in showing that in her writing.Looking forward to finding more from this author.

Well what can I say about this novel, other than if you are interested in reading a great story with a romance and laugh out loud humor you have found it. You need not go any further. There is no need to go into the plot of the story because that is covered in the description. I will say I think you will fall in love with a supporting character.

Another great book by Robin Alexander. I was up till midnight with this book and kept waking up my wife laughing while I was reading it.

I just love this Author's work, they're fun, romantic and sexy. I liked Payton and Rayann's characters right away. The story of their lives and the people in them was hilarious at times and frustrating with the intrusion of their friends, who all in all meant well. I definitely recommend this book to all readers out there.

Here is what I find most appealing about this author, she is funny and witty. She blends the story so well you are engaged the entire time. When you can imagine yourself in the story the author has you captured. The characters are easy to identify with and have such great chemistry. I believe in soul mates. Everyone has their own, you just have to open yourself up to the possibility.
