I see they are active cub 2/3 weeks and effective for up to four months. As I’m new to this do I leave in the pond for 4 months?

Just leave in pond preferably under running water if you have a waterfall outlet &leave they just break down over time until sack empty . My husband cleaned filter system out at weekend & one still had straw in so put it back . Good luck
