I have used this product for years and it never fails even when you find that 2-3 year old jar of pickles in the back of the pantry. For the size of the jar I always thought it was a little pricey but when you consider you use 1/8 teaspoon per pint when canning it comes out to approximately 5 cents per pint. But right now they are running a promoting at a 1/4 of the normal cost only $4.28. If you are a big canner like me stock up while you can.

The best for crunchy pickles and pickled vegetables! Used for pickled jalapeños and they turned out amazing!! So nice to still have that crunch. Easy to use. Great price. I can’t always find it in stores so it’s great to find it here.

Extra crunch crunch crunch
A lot goes a long way. I use Mrs wages pickle mix extra crunch in all of my refrigerator, pickles and pickled jalapeños.The seal was placed nicely on the container however, the lid does not fit well back on the plastic container. So I keep it inside of a plastic bag to keep its freshness.One container usually last me 2 to 3 years because I don’t use it that often.It does give the cucumbers, pickles, and jalapeños extra crispiness. Definitely worth the money to add to your pickles if you were taking the time to make your own at home.

keeps vegetables crisp
I use this quite a bit while I am canning. It helps keep my vegetables (besides pickles) crisp so when I go to fry them they are still firm, almost like fresh.

I added this product to my last pickle batch and the chips are nice and "crisp". My previous batch got a bit mushy, but this seemed to do the trick.You don't need to use very much either, so this jar will last a long time.

I ordered to late so have not used yet, I have used other Mrs. Wages products and they have been fine.....But clearly I should have read all the info first. This is a very small amount of pickle crisp for the price $24.96. And seems to be only meant for Mrs. Wages pickling process, "MADE FOR: use exclusively with Mrs. Wages Quick Process pickling recipes as directed. Mrs. Wages Xtra Crunch is to be exclusively used with Mrs. Wages Quick Process pickling mixes and recipes as directed on the jar." From now on I will probably just stick to Bernardin's Pickle Crisp which is a lot more reasonable in the $7.00 price range.
