Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 and 2 (DVD/S) Review: Pretty Good 3D Conversion - Overall a great movie - Probably fairly pointless to tell anything about the story here, but worth describing the 3D experience I believe. Overall it is pretty good for a post production conversion, some scenes are better than others but overall it's worth the extra effort to see the 3D version. There are a couple of glitches, one in particular at the end of the 2nd movie where a section of the final scenes at the castle is in reverse and everything suddenly goes very weird, but it's only for about 30 seconds. For information about the films I am sure there's lots of other reviews that add lots of useful detail. Suffice to say it's the final HP film(s) and it's really rather better than I expected, much more grown up than the previous episodes and a very fitting end to the series. Strongly recommended :) Review: Harry's Ultimate Last Stand - Just to save any confusion, seeing as how desertcart have lumped all reviews for `Deathly Hallows' DVD and BD releases together, let me make it clear that this is a review for the Harry Potter Ultimate Edition Year 7 box set. First a little history. Following the release of the first six sets in this collection, there came the mammoth 31 disc set `The Wizard's Collection' Harry Potter Wizard's Collection Box Set (Blu-ray + DVD + UV Copy)[Region Free ] in mid 2012. But there was no sign of Ultimate Edition Year 7. With Warner Brothers stating that they currently have no plans to issue this in the UK despite it's appearance in both the US and Germany at the end of 2012, I decided to get this US import which cost me almost twice as much as any of the other sets, but then remember you are getting two movies in this final collection. I'm not going to talk about the films as there are plenty of other reviews that do just that. Instead let's focus on the contents of the Year 7 box. First thing to notice is that this box is about half-an-inch wider than it's companions, whilst the outer sleeve features a side opening. Also included is a removable 3D photo of the front cover, and full content details on the reverse. The inner box retains the same design as it's predecessors, being richly decorated with many fine colour stills from the two movies. There are six discs contained in the four-part fold out package; both films are featured on Blu Ray, which hold exclusive in-depth PIP commentaries, whilst the DVD versions feature a number of deleted scenes. Incidentally the Blu Ray's are region free, whilst the DVD's are Region 1. The final two chapters of the fascinating documentary series `Creating The World Of Harry Potter' are also included, both on BD only, and these discs also include all the many remaining bonus features that appeared on the original DVD double packs or Blu Ray's, with one notable exception; the wonderful documentary `When Harry Left Hogwarts' which focuses a lot on the unsung heroes of film-making, including the set builders and extras is not included. An oversight or what? There is also of course another excellent hardback photo booklet, and an envelope containing the final four collectors photo cards, plus the movie download code which expires in September 2014. I'm really delighted with this set; yes it is rather annoying for those fans without a Blu Ray player, but if you already have the previous six sets, this is probably the only way you are going to be able to complete the collection for the foreseeable future.

Played through a PS4 Fantastic
Having seen the films many times on normal video this is a real treat to watch in 3D. We had a great movie night would recommend.

2 films in one - brilliant value for money!
These were the only 2 HP films I hadn't managed to see so when I found them both in one box for a bargain price I had to have them. Both DVDs were in excellent condition and of just the same quality as if I'd bought them individually. As a long term HP fan I really enjoyed both films...I was just sad at the end that there wouldn't be any more to watch! I think it was a great idea to put parts 1 & 2 together because once you've seen Part 1 you immediately want to watch Part 2 and you can! To anyone else still needing to view these final 2 films...don't hesitate, buy this!!

Great movie poor 3D effects
The story of this saga goes on and does not disappoint great viewing and exiting to the end. Have only given this 4 stars as I bought the 3d version and quite frankly I shouldn't have bothered! The 3d effects are none existent so would suggest you purchase standard Blu-ray if its cheaper. There may be a better standard 3d version of this but must say when I buy 3d I expect something different. This one does not give you that. Don't want to end on a sour note because this is a great movie.

Very good
The second film is a better conversion than the first one. Basically same films with a 3d edge to them. The second film has better depth and characters more defined. The first film seemed to suffer from the clash of the titans errors of projected figures on blocks. Hag rid seemed to suffer from this as he looking a geological triangle for his head. The second film didn't seem to suffer from these faults and more time had been spent on it which was the actual reality as the first film was displayed at the cinemas in 2d as they had not converted them film in time. The film only was shown at a few cinemas prior to launch of the 2nd film. So it really only ever saw this boxed set for most. If you are going to make a 3D film why not film it in 3d. Conversions are yes OK for old films but for new films???. Utter madness as it costs millions and time to convert a 2d film.

All I need now is the popcorn
One big blockbuster afternoon in front of the telly or computer getting scared. The two films at once. Great stuff. Ok if I have to get down to the nit-picky detail there were thing you had to read to book or go on line to figure out. Why did Dumbledore hand curl up and die ? What was the mirror shard all about ? Why did the goblets and rings multiply ? Who owned the camel and who smoked navy cut ? and other questions for the vivacious youth today.

great film - fast delivery!
bought to complete collection, perfect quality, good price, and fast delivery. Had to re-order - this time via Amazon direct - as previous seller on amazon marketplace took over three weeks after supposed despatch date to agree it was 'lost in post', then had no stock, (doubtful it was ever sent) will never use that supplier again, only going through main Amazon site in future as they sent it same day as ordered, delivered two days later!

Fast delivery. Great movie. But: dvd1: english spanish only. Dvd2, english spanish and dubbed in quebec... which is differents voices for actor. It was a gift for my nephew, who is a little quebec boy, so doesnt speak english. But. Great addition into my collection.

Not only does this include the Blu-ray and DVD movies but it also has two extras DVDs that are very well done. You get four collectable character cards and a hard cover book that goes with one of the extras DVDs. The only downside is you only get one book. I don't know why they didn't include both but who knows how the minds of the folks who decide these things work? All in all it's a pretty great collectable set. Especially if you have all seven.
