These beginning sections include discussion of what some of your options are and how to get started. I appreciated that the author considers both large and small projects. So, there is a whole chapter on how to take your house off grid. But, there is also another whole section on how to solar power your RV, camper, or cabin. I especially liked that I can choose a smaller scale project to build my confidence. There is a great section on DIY projects you can do. These are explained well with easy to follow steps.

Good starter book to get the basis of solar, but not suitable for me as I needed more technical info for 12v - 24v battery systems.
