I bought this tape for a rather odd purpose - being able to pull my computer out of my backpack. When I travel, I put my LARGE laptop in my backpack, which works great. The problem was that when gripping it to pull it out to use it, I had to be extremely careful not to drop it, as it is heavy and could easily slip out of my hand and hit the floor. The solution? Grippy-surface tape like this. I applied two 4" strips to the laptop's lid, and a 3" strip on the other side on the bottom of the computer, and now I have no worries about dropping it. The tape works great for this. The only downside is that the tape has such a rough surface that I have to be careful when putting the computer on a nice wood surface, or the tape will scratch up the wood. I know this isn't the primary intended purpose for the tape, but I wanted to pass on a good use for it, and the accompanying note of caution.

Awesome grip tape, just what I was looking for, affordable price for how much you get and for safety around slippery parts of the home. The sandpaper is very rough, makes for good grip when wet. The adhesive is also very strong and has been holding up in the rain. I've adhered it to painted wood surfaces (Stairs) and concrete (garage) and it has faired very well and looks to hold up for at least several years.

This tape seems very strong with good anti-slip surface. It was easy to glue down on steps. The yellow and black stripes give a good contrast, so it's easy to see.

Works well. Stuck to an exterior concrete step and has stayed stuck for almost one year now and through the winter. I used a heat gun to warm the concrete prior to sticking the tape and ensured the tape was also warm which helps them bond.

I had immense trouble getting the tape out of 27 layers of clear wrapping tape, then spent about 3 hours getting the tape off the backing paper. After a refreshing beverage and a snooze, I challenged the backing tape again. Happily, it only took 16 additional hours to apply. Maybe this wouldn't have been a problem if I wasn't in a space station ?
