Case for ESP32 : 2 pack (fits ESP32-WROOM-32D)

Fit perfect for my esp32 board, good build, with front and back plates that can disconnect. Really pleased with them

I bought "diymore 3PCS Type C ESP32 WROOM Development Board" (https://amzn.eu/d/3YfAe2J) and wanted a case without custom 3D printing. My ESP32 is a "not D or E" board with 38 pins (19 each side).The listing for this case states "These cases DO NOT fit modules labelled ESP32-WROOM-32 (modules missing the last D or E)", so I took a chance. I am happy to confirm that this case is fine for my boards.The board is a tiny bit (0.25mm?) too long for the case, but fits by just pushing down firmly, without having to file the board or case down (though you could for an easier fit). I used small electrical snips to widen the opening for the USB-C port, on BOTH the base and lid. I assume the original is designed for micro USB ports.The photos show my modified version next to as-it-arrived, showing the small amount of plastic I snipped off. I also put the top lid on the other way around to how it arrived, to suit my board (air vents over main chip).The case is high quality: 3D printed, accurate tolerances and nice finish with no rough edges.All that said, my project (WLED controller) needs a level shifter, so I'm probably not going to use this case in favour of hosting the ESP32 on a perf-board with the level shifter.Enjoy your project!

Product arrived promptly, was nicely packaged (good enough for a gift) and was an extremely good build quality. All parts clipped together firmly and my AZDelivery ESP32 Dev Kit C V4 NodeMCU ESP32 WROOM-32 fitted perfectly with no squeezing or rattle.The case is extremely well designed and excellent value, with access to all pins if required, led visible through the vent in the lid and screw holes for optional fixing to a surface.Highly recommended, but do check that your ESP32 board looks the same as the examples shown.

I'm really impressed with this product - from the way it was packaged to the quality of the build. Both top/bottom covers snap in place securely.Perfectly fits my ESP-WROOM-32 (both MicroUSB & USB-C).

Case did not fit the following product: AZDelivery ESP32-DevKitC NodeMCU WiFi WLAN CP2102 ESP32-WROOM-32DThe tolarances are a mm off. If you try and force the board in you have to bend two of the pins on the back and you have to rotate the vent side 180 otherwise you risk pushing plastic into the large chip, crushing it in the process.A simple increase in tolerances by the 3d printer/ a dremel tool would resolve this.If it fit, I would give it a 5 star.Since it didnt, it fails to achieve its sole purpose.

The quality of this case is excellent. Smooth finish and tight fitting lids.My ESP32-WROOM-32D fits perfectly.

At the time of writing this box is described as suitable for the ESP32-WROOM-32D. However neither of my ESP32-WROOM-32D boards fit without first modifying the case itself. To get the boards to fit I had to extend the length of slots that the pins slide into, using a Dremel. Other than that it’s a great little box.

I purchased these to house the diymore 2PCS ESP32-WROOM-32 Microcontroller and they fit perfectly inside these cases.Recommended.
