Two questions -- are ALL the components plastic (e.g. is the actual hourglass plastic or glass)? And is this waterproof (e.g. ok for shower)?

The exterior components are plastic. It can easily be taken apart by a three year old and the capsule with the sand is a fairly sturdy glass. It seems like it would be fine in a shower.

How consistent are they with each other and how accurate are they to 1 minute?

I had one that was a little slower. I teach first grade so a couple seconds off is okay for me. I just have them read words. 4 out of 5 are right on 1 minute.

Can i get just 2 min for all?
