I like that the splints come in various lengths to fit different fingers.

If you put these on tight enough to hold your finger straight, you'll soon find your finger is purple and numb. Also, to truly hold your finger straight you need one on the top and the bottom. That is more cumbersome and harder to put on. Also increases the numbness.They can be used to hold your finger sort of straight or to just to keep you from bumping a sore finger into things, that's fine. Just don't buy them as a splint solution because they don't work. To be clear, I am not wrenching these on really tight and stretching the elastic sides far... even if they are slightly snug you'll find your finger turning purple. Thus, I do not recommend them.

To soft, you have to thigh it really hard and even that moves up and down your finger

If it's a broken finger you have these would serve the purpose to keep it from bending. I'm dealing with early signs of arthritis where my fingers are starting to curve some and was hoping to stop the problem from getting worse. I haven't used long enough to know if they work for this, but have decided to give them a try. Nice quality for the right need.
