I’ve been using the UPERFECT 18" QLED Portable Monitor regularly for travel and working out of different offices, and it’s honestly become one of those pieces of gear I don’t want to be without. The 18-inch screen feels like the perfect size for a portable setup. It’s big enough to comfortably multitask without feeling cramped, but still easy to pack and carry. The 2K resolution (2560×1600) is sharp and clean, which makes reading documents, spreadsheets, and emails easy on the eyes during long work sessions. What really surprised me is how good it is for gaming. The 144Hz refresh rate makes everything feel smooth and responsive, and the QLED panel gives colors a nice pop without looking overdone. Whether I’m gaming after work or killing time while traveling, it performs far better than I expected from a portable monitor. The 500 nits of brightness also make a real difference. I’ve used it in hotel rooms, shared offices, and even near windows, and it stays bright and clear without needing to max it out. Overall, this monitor strikes a great balance between productivity and entertainment. It’s reliable, easy to set up, and versatile enough to handle both work and gaming without compromise. If you travel often or work out of multiple locations and want a portable display that doesn’t feel like a downgrade from a desktop monitor, this one is absolutely worth it.

It's great to find a lightweight, portable 18'' monitor capable of 2560x1660 with 144hz refresh rate in UPERFECT 18" QLED Portable Monitor. The 2K (2560×1600) resolution delivers incredibly sharp visuals, and the colors look vibrant and accurate thanks to the QLED panel. Additionally, the latency in response is only 1ms; in conjunction with the 144hz refresh rate, everything feels responsive. The 500-nit brightness is another standout feature. The screen stays clear and bright even in well-lit environments, which is something many portable monitors struggle with. The 18-inch size also strikes a great balance—it’s large enough to feel like a real secondary display but still portable enough to carry in a laptop bag. Setup was quick and easy, and the monitor works seamlessly with my laptop through USB-C and HDMI (up to 120hz). Overall, this is an excellent portable monitor with premium display quality, smooth performance, and great brightness. I am a perm WFH and use this monitor for when I am away from my at-home setup. I have multiple monitors at home so I am use to a lot of desktop space. This monitor is great, but you just need to be aware of the size. I also have the 15.6inch from this same company. I compare everything against my 5.11 backpacks as that is what I pack everything into. The 18inch fits nicely in the Rush24 but sticks out some with the Rush12 and the Moab10. This has been fine for short trips. The 15.6 fits fine into all three backpacks. With that said, I have found myself reaching for the 18inch and my Moab10 and just packing everything into that. It seems to fit fairly nice and secure even with it sticking out slightly. It has become my go-to grab-and-go when heading out for short trips. I am able to fit my extra keyboard, mouse, monitor and laptop in the Moab10 when I was heading to the library for a change of scenery (or when my internet goes out). As long as you have the space for carrying this around, you can't go wrong. With regards to setup, this works great with my Surface Laptop 3 and 4. The power from the USB-C is sufficient so the extra power cable is not required. I find this to be extremely appealing and super simple for setup. I also recently ordered the Surface dock as I would like to have use of both monitors. (FYI, Surface Laptop only comes with 1 USB-C port). The monitor is 2k so it is clear and has really good resolution. I found it to be a great compliment to my work laptop (which is only a 13inch). Being a Software Engineer, the extra desktop space is a must. I have had several multi-hour runs with it recently because our internet kept going out. I found myself constantly moving my windows over to the 18inch and working from that screen and only keeping email and chat on my laptop monitor. If you are in the market and have the space for carrying this around then the 18inch is the way to go. If you are limited on space then you might consider the 15.6inch version but again, you can really see the difference between 15.6 and 18inch with regards to how much you can fit on your screen. In all honesty, you really can't go wrong either way as the company is wonderful and stands by their products.

Updated: 30 Nov 2024. While I still maintain my 4-star rating for the product itself. I have to say that UPerfect's customer service and warranty support is 5-star. It took us a while to get there, but this vendor is honorable, and can be trusted to deliver on their promise. Why? After 11 months, my 18" UPerfect monitor finally stopped displaying completely, my laptop could detect it as a display device using USB-C, but the screen was black (my laptop is on for 14-16 hours per day and all my portable monitors get a good workout). I contacted their support team and while the initial response was delayed, eventually, a Sophia was assigned to the case. She requested a video to be taking to verify the problem, which is fair enough. But it was an ordeal to send them a 349MB mp4 (email doesn't work for such large attachments), and I eventually had to set-up a OneDrive file share (because I can't use YouTube due to work/company policy). Once the video was received, UPerfect accepted that my warranty claim was genuine & justified, and Sophia sent me return label for UPS to pick-up the defective monitor (at no cost to me). Once the return was confirmed, she sent me a new, latest model 18" 2K replacement. Considering the low price I paid for this product, the service and warranty is 5-star (like what I get from Dell gold support for my work IT gear, and similar to Amazon Prime returns). The new monitor is working well thus far (after 4-5 days), and the brightness control issue I cited earlier on 12 September seems to have been fixed in this latest model - I can increase the brightness to 9/10 (which is really bright!). In this new model, the swivel/pulley switch is dual-function ~ flick it up, and the monitor goes to Volume control mode, and flick it down for Brightness control mode. Very easy once you work it out, because the user guide doesn't really mention this feature. Original review (12 Sep 2024). I really like this monitor for its size and resolution. Its 18" display, and 2K resolution is unique for a portable monitor. I'm marking down my otherwise 5-star review to 4 stars because: 1. the mini-HDMI port is loose & unstable and often does not receive a signal. My other portable monitors (3 different brands at 16" size) also plugged into the same laptop all work perfectly fine. 2. the brightness control turns off the monitor when I set it to above 5 of 10. Sometimes it allows me to go all the way to 10/10 brightness, most times, it powers down the monitor after 5/10 (so I can never get to 6-9 brightness settings). 3. Unlike my other portable monitors that remember their brightness settings after being unplugged (HotYeah, Ausai, AOC), this monitor does not remember its brightness or volume settings. I have to reset this every time I use it. 4. the brightness setting is hard to reach for restoring my preferred setting. This should be the default setting controlled by the up/down switch (instead of volume - which can be controlled via the laptop's volume button anyway). Overall, I like this product - other than the mini-HDMI port being loose, and its inability to remember previous user settings especially for birghtness.

After having issues with Xbox support on THREE other monitors, I’m glad I stuck with this one. It’s by far my favourite. Here’s why: Xbox support By far my favourite thing about this monitor is it’s Xbox support. Unlike the previous two monitors I tried, it actually supports 1440p at 120hz with Freesync! (A feature that allows your refresh rate to dynamically adapt to your frame rate.) The others only support 1080p at 120hz (without Freesync), or 1440p at 60hz (without Freesync), or 1080p at 60hz (with FreeSync). With this monitor I finally get all three! Upgraded Resolution, Refresh Rate, and FreeSync! Brightness I was quite surprised at the brightness. The monitors I tried before maxed out at 400 nits, while this one reaches 500. It doesn’t seem like that big a difference, but in practice, it means that I can use this monitor in a bright room without squinting. Color The increased brightness allows for better color. When using this monitor with my USB-C dock, the difference is clear. When moving images between monitors, the saturation and vibrancy of the image is clearly superior to my laptop’s screen and my other monitors. Screen size The jump from 16” to 18” makes a massive difference. It fits snugly in my bag, and the larger screen size means I can fit more on the screen without having to squint. Responsiveness The response time is also noticeably faster, as someone who grew up playing games on TVs. It makes a huge difference in playability in quick-response games (like Ghostrunner and Doom Eternal). Laptop support The 16:10 aspect ratio is perfect for PC use. As a programmer and a student, I find the taller aspect ratio perfect for reading (textbooks, articles, and websites), and multitasking when coding (like Visual Studio and a terminal). The 2560x1660 resolution makes everything crystal clear, and noticeably smooth at it’s 144hz refresh rate. Phone Support My Samsung phone is a pretty old, so it only output at 1080p, but sure enough, it works seamlessly over USB-C. The desktop mode (DeX) mode is super neat. This isn’t my usual usecase, but it worked great in my experiment. Hardware It’s actually incredibly sturdy - the first thing you notice about it is just how durable it feels. It comes with all the cords you’ll need to run it, and an AC adapter to power it. All of which works super well. Additionally, it supports pass-through charging, so if you have a higher-watt AC adapter, you can charge your laptop through the monitor (which requires less cables, and is necessary if your laptop only has 1 charging port like mine). One thing this monitor offers that I hadn’t seen before was a built-in audio jack, which was a nice addition. Interface The interface is also a huge step-up from cheaper monitors. The menu pops up in the bottom right, instead of right in the middle of the screen, which is already so much nicer. Then, the automatic aspect ratio adjustment is leagues better than my previous monitor. Now I don’t have to change the settings every time I switch between my Xbox and my laptop. In my experience, the Uperfect Monitor has exceeded expectations. It stands out in terms of Xbox support, brightness, color quality, and screen size. It's a worthy offering for anyone seeking a versatile and high-performing display. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with this monitor and would rate it a solid 5/5.

I've been looking for a 8:5 ratio gaming monitor for a long time, ever since I fell in love with the format a decade ago. I tend to travel and move quite often, and I also wanted to get a monitor that fit in my bag. UPERFECT had the right product at the right time, and what a product this monitor is. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the enhanced 144 Hz refresh rate is amazing for gaming at this resolution and price point. Setting up is simple, with only one cable needed from my PC. I have a DisplayPort adapter cable set up to provide a signal from my SFF PC. Note that you should set up a second USB-C charger for extra power, which is included. Very recently, it came time for me to replace the screen due to a defective backlight. Even though my purchase was already two years old at the time, UPERFECT support came in to help, replacing my monitor at no charge! I will always recommend UPERFECT for portable monitors from now on.

I absolutely adore this monitor! I use this as a portable monitor when I'm working overnight connected to my PS3 slim while also connected to an MClassic and 1440p EDID to upscale to 1440p! It looks incredibly sharp and the colors genuinely pop off the screen. They're very nice and vibrant. This uses a 100% DCI-P3 color scale so it has a much larger range than regular RGB. It uses a 16:10 aspect ratio though which is a bit inconvenient but really isn't a bother because you can turn on a 16:9 mode which adds black bars to the top and bottom of the screen. It's honestly not a big deal because the screen is so large you literally do not notice it. It also has support for 4:3 and 5:3 aspect ratios respectively in case you want to connect classic consoles to it as well! It has a magnetic cover that also works as a stand and it's actually quite sturdy. It hasn't fallen on me at all and it holds up very well. I've seen some people mention how they feel that the stand is flimsy and slips and all that, but I personally haven't had that issue at all. It's built pretty nicely and feels premium in the hands as it's made out of metal. One downside I can think of is the speakers. Definitely do not expect the built speakers to be any sort of good, but if you are in a pinch and don't have headphones, they will suffice for the time being. Another thing is that the setting button/knob is ever so slightly flimsy but it works just fine as is. I like how it has a 144hz screen so if I connect it to my PC it can output a fast refresh rate and it has little to no ghosting (at least from what I can tell). If you do connect it to your PC tho, make sure you turn on the freesync setting, but turn it off if you connect it to a console that doesn't support it like a PS3 or PS4. In the future, I most DEFINITELY plan on getting a 4K monitor from them especially if it has 120hz and an OLED screen to use with my PC as I have a 4080 Super and it should be able to handle that heat. Overall this is probably one of the best bang for your buck portable monitors on the market. Even better than ASUS for example.

I bought this expecting a lot since UPerfect has a solid reputation for portable monitors, and overall it delivers, just not perfectly. The biggest standout is the brightness. The unit gets VERY bright, and the 2K display looks genuinely gorgeous. Colors pop right out of the box, but it definitely feels like they’ve cranked a “vivid” mode, so everything is a bit over-saturated unless you dial it back. It’s advertised as 144Hz, but I’ve only been able to get 120Hz. The included USB-C cable claim is confusing, especially since most motherboard USB-C ports don’t even output video. So out of the box, it doesn’t really hit that 144Hz experience. That said, 120Hz is still smooth and looks great. Also, if you’re not using a proper wall outlet, the monitor can randomly shut off. At max brightness it seems like USB power alone isn’t enough, so it really needs stable power. The control button is also pretty finicky. I’m a little conflicted on the price. For around $250, I’d expect true 144Hz out of the box and maybe even a carrying case. But at the same time, this is easily one of the best portable monitors you can get at this price. Overall, I do like it. Once you dial it in, it looks amazing and performs well.

Good quality little display. Maybe not perfect if compared to something like a new MacBook screen but not bad at all. I use it as an assets library monitor to streamline my workflow and it performs quite well. Also tried to play on it and for such application it is phenomenal, especially for its price.

Update: I had an issue with my monitor, but customer support was extremely helpful throughout the troubleshooting process. Unfortunately, the monitor never started working again, but the company was kind enough to send me a replacement at no extra cost, which I truly appreciate. The screen quality is excellent, and the monitor itself is lightweight and easy to use.

Just got the1 8" 2K 144Hz model just last year and it was a great experience for gaming. The oortability is very handy as you can carry it around anywhere like a big table and can also connect your phone to it. Amazing monitor at a great price. Also, the customer service is very fast they solved an issue with the monitor within days.

I came across with this brand through research and it’s good reviews from actual users. I am glad with my Uperfect monitor purchase. It’s great value for money and the fact that it’s a portable monitor, I can carry it anywhere when I have to travel, unlike the traditional monitors. Kudos as well to the great team support, I had encounter some difficulties on how to maximise the 144hz, the response time is fast and efficient. And they are well versed on their products.

After searching through all the current options on Amazon for a portable gaming monitor, UPERFECT came out on top. I travel for work so I wanted to supplement my laptop with a second screen for work productivity. After work, I like to unwind with some games in the hotel room. This monitor did not disappoint. I am a recreational gamer so having maxed out specs was not my goal. I wanted something high quality, portable, high specs and at a fair price. Look no further as this gaming monitor was exactly what I was looking for. Colours were smooth and the screen can get very bright on max settings. I had no problems playing MOBA games as everything was crystal clear and vibrant. The monitor has built in speakers but I would not rely on them for anything immersive. If you used the speakers for watching YouTube, then they are perfect for that application. I would buy again from UPERFECT as their customer service was outstanding and prompt. Their product was exactly as described and they delivered a fantastic monitor.
