API MELAFIX Freshwater Fish Bacterial Infection Remedy 16-Ounce Bottle

Easy and safe to use, I bought it to treat my betta fish got injuried with white Pimple on the skin it was small and got bigger and bigger, I tryed the methanol blue and salt but it didnxt work, after using the Melafix for 5 days it started healing and getting better. The price was a way cheaper than the pet store.

This stuff is magick... I have a betta that I've had since the baby and I'm very bonded to. He started staying on the bottom a lot and I noticed he had something on his eye I had different water treatment here so I started that so for two weeks he stayed on the bottom... Everyday I kept thinking he was not going to be alive I didn't know how else to help him it was very stressful. I think the other product maybe kept him stable but did not do what I needed. So I went looking for something different I found this. And OMG fourth day and my betta is swimming again... After 2 2 1/2 weeks on the bottom.. thinking he was dying he is now full of life and swimming after treating the water with this. I was so surprised today to see him off of the bottom that I couldn't believe my eyes literally a miracle.. We still have a ways to go but it looks hopeful...I'm so thankful this saved his life

This product really worked as described! I am a newbie fish owner, so I have very little experience taking care of my goldfish. However, I noticed that he had some scales fallen out after having him for less than 1 month. I didn't know how he had a few of his scales fallen out since he was in a 30 gallon tank. I have few ornaments in the tank, and there weren't any sharp objects as well. I did notice that he loved to puck on corners and squeeze behind the sponge a lot, so I assumed it may have been from that. So, I went online and started reading up on how to take care of my goldfish and how to help him grow back his scales or prevent more from falling. At this time, I also wasn't sure if he had other diseases as well since this was my first time taking care of a fish. So, I saw and read several reviews on this product where previous customers and experienced fish owners wrote about it helping their fish, as well as, preventing diseases and other ailments. I thought I gave this item a try. It was one of the best products I've bought for my fish. It really helped him healed his scales. I noticed the area where his scales were missing darkened and turned fleshy again. In about 1 week or so, I noticed the area started growing scales already. I am very happy with this item. However, this product is very strong. I have a small, young goldfish in a 30 gallon freshwater tank, with a 50 gallon Aquaclear water filter system, and following the dosages for this product for a 30 gallon tank, I noticed my goldfish acted very agitated to this product. His eyes also started bulging out more. After observing this, I did 25% water change and used half the given dosage. I think this amount was more tolerable to my baby goldfish. I also noticed that my fish scales and fins became silkier after a week of usage. I'm really happy I tried this product out. I would recommend a lower dosage if you have smaller fish. I also recommend to do at least 2 days 25% water change every time you use the product.

When my bottle arrived, there was no seal so a little bit dripped out onto a couple of books I ordered (neither book was severely damaged). In comparison to the other bottle of API Stress coat that I ordered in the same size, the amount of fluid missing from the bottle appeared to be only the few drops that dripped out in transit. As for the product itself- it works really well. My beta was experiencing the beginning stages of fin rot and I treated him for 4 days and he looked better within 24 hours of the first dose. A word of caution: it is possible to 'overdose' your aquarium with this product. The instructions say to give 5ml of product per 10 gallons. I have a three gallon tank so I dosed my tank at 1ml (which is the treatment for two gallons). The cap can be used to measure in increments of 1ml, 5ml and 10ml which is why I opted to only use 1ml instead of the 1.5ml that my tank should have been dosed at. There is a caution label on the bottle, and this product should not be left in areas children can get to, it is harmful to swallow, a skin and eye irritant. There is no 'safety seal' like you would find on medicine bottles to prevent curious little ones from getting into it

I bought my granddaughter a fish, along with one for me. A few days later, her fish appeared to be peeling. Then two of my fish died and one was on its way out. My husband suggested an antibiotic (not this one) so I looked here and found this API MELAFIX one and ordered it. Her fish died before I got it. Then I had another fish getting sick so I put it in the quarantine tank with the other one. Next day I got this and started using it right away. My fish are back to being healthy and happy. I wish I would have found this sooner. It's a life saver, literally.

This stuff is amazing, my fish was very sick and I gave him this as needed and he looks better than the day I got him I would highly recommend it I would also recommend a little mirror if your fishes fin is still having trouble growing back

I ordered this item thinking that it would heal my Betta fishes fin rot. Now, im not saying the product is bad by any means because it definitely prevented it from getting any worse. I would get this if your more trying to stabilize whatever your fish has going on. But it will NOT heal it. If your looking to actually heal a problem with your fish try KanaPlex. I am a veteran in this hobby so this review would definitely help you in saving your fish from critical condition (whenever you read ) . I recently set up a 75g cichlid community tank . After a few days I observed two of my Oscars had white spots and two parrots were having swim bladder. I had given up on my fishes after raising temperature,feeding green peas and adding salt to the tank .I had read alot about this product and decided to give it a try . After adding this continuously for two days I saw instant changes in my tank . Though one of my parrot died but I was able to save all of them . Though costly I merged it with api pimafix and saved my fished . Now I have 7 Oscars 4 parrots 2 gt all happily set up . Kudos Amazon and api
