Great gas filter made well

I bought the 4 pack, used one and it turned out to be junk. By the time I realized the filter had failed it was too late to return the item. The filter came loose inside so the fuel just poured in around the filter and didn’t go through the filter. Who knows what kind of junk got into my carburetor?? I don’t want to chance trying another one, I value my car too much. I would not recommend buying these filters. I was going to contact the seller but couldn’t figure out how being that I was outside the return window. I gave it a one star because it wouldn’t let me give it a zero star rating.

These filters are better than the filters I can get at my local parts store for a lot less money. The only reason I am rating these 4 stars is that the hose clamps that come with these are too big for the 5/16 fuel line.

These filters fit the 5/16-inch line and do a good job filtering fuel. I used one of these filters to filter the diesel that was in my fuel tank, and it caught a lot of black stuff that looked like paint. By using one of these filters and the electric fuel pump I was able to filter all the diesel and put it in fuel cans so it would be clean when I put in back in the fuel tank after getting the fuel tank professionally cleaned. They also included a lot of the hose clamps.

I've been chasing problems with my 67 Bronco/302 where it would run lean at light-load. It ended up being the carburetor getting clogged up with all kinds of junk. I had it rebuilt before I discovered this.I run two of these filters: one after the tank, and one after the pump just before the carburetor. They BOTH fell apart and I didn't even notice.Now I have to rebuild my carburetor again because the glue that holds the filter element to the casing broke free and let little bits pass through to the carburetor.. This has caused a lot of headaches chasing my tail around trying to get this thing to run right.I've always ran clear filters because I wanted to be able to see if anything was getting trapped by them. Unfortunately, with these filters NOTHING gets filtered, it just goes right on through.
