Do NOT buy this!
I bought this because I wrongly assumed it would be of equal quality to Oatey brand and I wanted the black cover. What a mistake. The body installed just fine, but when I inserted the black “gasket” and attempted to screw in the retaining or squish ring, as soon as it met the gasket to create a good seal, the ring popped out of the threads of the body.. I tried everything to get it to hold firm to no avail. With the pan already mortared in place, I went into semi panic mode since there was no way to remove and replace the main body of the drain. I ended up buying the Oatey kit and held my breath…fortunately the higher quality Oatey gasket and retaining ring fit the cheap knockoff and worked perfectly. Don’t cheap out! Buy the Oatey and save yourself unbelievable anxiety!!

When tightening the threads kept popping and creating an uneven threading
