Dyson DC33 DC14 DC07 DC04 DC01 Vacuum Cleaner Drive Belt. Part number 90052701 900527-01

I first bought 2 belts for a similar price from another seller. It squealed and worried the dog (and me!) But it functioned and was OK for a full month until it broke easily on the fringe of a rug. THIS ORIGINAL DYSON PART arrived promptly, I had watched the 4 min video so fitting it using a screw driver made things easier than the previous time and it was on the cleaner in no time. And then ... I put the cleaner around ... OMG in that month of an inefficient belt the carpets had been accumulating muck I couldn't see. The belt fitted well, the cleaner made all the right, smooth and quieter noises because it wasn't constantly slipping, and the tank was HALF FULL of fine grit and fluff the old belt had left behind. The carpet was nicely brushed too because the belt was turning the brush roller properly. I really didn't understand the importance of using the right material for making the belt until this. Some pattern parts are worth the money, but not in this case.

Bought this belt for my Dyson DC14 as it was losing suction. The belts looks good quality and durable, but will know more after use. Turned out the problem was not the belt but the sole plate was not fitted correctly after I cleaned the brush. Once I fitted the sole plate correctly it was working as normal. Anyway, it got a good service as I cleaned out the filters and put in a new belt.

Arrived quickly product seems fine

This is the first belt I bought to replace a broken one. Marked up with dyson logo etc so am confident it’s genuine. Great price as well and the shipping time was very good.***** A word of advice to anyone who has a broken belt and is looking at buying this one. Check that the brush roller that the belt runs on is not seized. Take the brush cradle/carrier off pull the brush roller out and spin the end caps to check for free play. If they don’t spin freely then the ends need pulling off and cleaning. This is the mistake I made. This new belt snapped again and that’s when I checked the brush roller and found that it was seized. Thinking about it with the amount of floor debris it has to deal with I will be checking the roller first if the belt ever goes again. Anyway, I bought the belt again and the price /shipping was still the same,happy days!.

Managed to rescue our Dyson with this after the existing belt snapped. Saved a small fortune by attempting the repair.

Genuine Dyson parts always best. Good product spare . It is tricky to fit these . You have to disassemble the bottom part of your vacuum cleaner and get the belt is position while juggling with the parts, then carefully reassemble being sure not to break any plastic components. Some good YouTube videos available to follow.

We managed to change the belt on our DC 01, unfortunately as soon as we switched on the machine there was a burning smell and the new belt snapped. Can’t say whether the problem is with my machine or the belt. Hence we have taken the machine to the shop for service replacement belt.
