Saponify - 4Lb Aloe Melt and Pour Soap Base, Skin-Enhancing Pure Aloe Vera Soap Base, Easy to Use Glycerin Soap Base for Soap Making

This glycerin soap base is phenomenal. It was easy to melt and pour. We used the large 4-cup Pyrex pouring measuring cup. We Cut one pound of soap base into small cubes and microwaved it on high. We used 30-second intervals to stir and assess the soap to ensure it didn't get too hot. It took about 2 1/2 minutes. We then stirred the soap well, added 18 drops of essential oils, and poured the mixture into the molds. We did each pound separately to vary the fragrance of the soap sets. The soap lathers well and holds the scents we added. I highly recommend this. It was a fun project, and we know our family has preservative-free soap. For reference, we used the following essential oils: rosemary, peppermint, eucalyptus, lavender, and chamomile. We only mixed two types of essential oil per pound of soap. Have fun!

A really good soap base, I’ve used it to make my own shave soap, if you use it for shaving you’ll have to experiment with the amount of water in your brush to get the lather the way you like it.

I bought this to make my own soap with custom ingredients. It’s really easy to work with and mixed well. It’s moisturizing and leaves skin feeling clean but not dried out. There is t really a scent which worked well as I like to add essential oils. The size I purchased made about 6 regular sized bars of soap.

Used this to make soaps for christmas. They came out great and everyone loved them. I was a bit worried after my mom told me she bought charcoal soaps that dyed her skin black for a few days before but was relieved when I tested it and no black was left on the skin. Weren't super moisturizing but didn't dry out the skin. Was fun and easy to use with my kid. We used this charcoal soap along with a couple others. It worked well in the molds, cleaned up easily and didn't melt much when using the heat gun to put each piece in shrink wrap.

Overall I am impressed with this product. I did take away 1 star though for the packaging. The plastic it is wrapped in is thin and when I received it had been bumped around a little. The soap are mushed around the plastic on a couple corners and so when trying to remove it was trapped in the soap. Was a little difficult making sure I got all the plastic out. The soap base itself if smooth. Easy to use and came out smooth.

Nice addition to my soaps

My husband has psoriasis. He is insanely sensitive to soaps. I have been on a quest to find one that his skin won't react to and this is it. The only one. I do not add anything to this soap. I simply melt it into heart shapes, wrap it in paper, and let him use this as his soap. You can just cut it into rectangles but, hey, that's not at cute. I thought his skin was just really rough naturally. Nope. He just needed something gentle enough and this did the trick. All we buy are blocks of this soap now. It's lovely for me as well. Your skin feels soft and moisturized after a shower. It also smells really good as it is. I know it's supposed to be a soap base that you do things to but, really, it doesn't actually need you to do anything to it to be a lovely soap. I will continue to buy this soap indefinitely.

I love you soap base products! I used another brand for a couple years and then tried one of yours. I have been switching all mine to your products. They are so pure, suds up nice and easier to work with for molding. They make my skin feel so good, not too greasy or not too dry. Thank you so much, please stay in business!

I used this product for soap making. Easy to chop into pieces and melts beautifully. I will be buying more of this product in the future.

Definitely priced a little high but overall it was pretty good. It accepted scent well and held up in CP soap but the price was a bit overpriced in my opinion.
