Lonely Planet Pocket London (Pocket Guide)

I carried this book all over London! I would give it to my kids on longer train rides to look through. There is a lot of information packed into this tiny book!

This proved to be an excellent travel guidebook for a week - long stay in London. It is small, light, and easily fits into your daily backpack. It was divided into regions/sections of London, with useful walking tours and restaurant/cafe recommendations.In particular, I found the tips for navigating the city outstanding. Had I not read it beforehand, I would not have known about the immensely valuable oyster card for all public transportation, including the incredible Underground. I highly recommend this book.

The lonely planet pocket books are great, packed with info on main attractions and things off the beaten path. Easy to carry and well organized info.

Liked the size but this guide is not up to date regarding the need to obtain online tickets for events even if they are free. My advice is to wait until the next, larger guide is issued in the Fall 2023.
