I wouldn't bet on it. They have a heavier version of this retractor that would probably work.

I don’t know what a cb microphone is, but whatever you attach to it, it does a good job of retraction.

I bought two of these, one for me & one for the hubby, to keep our gauges close to our bodies when diving. They really are heavy duty, not like the cheap one I had years ago that broke after a few dives. These are really made well, and it does pay to get the heavy duty ones, since some gauges can be heavier, and the cable on it is tougher when you pull on it. I also liked that this one came with two clips: one with a key ring, and one with a leash on it, very handy, and can switch them out, etc.
