Parts worked great..... This is not a hard job and if your car still has the crappy plastic factory elbows, you are at risk for an overheating disaster.....anytime, anywhere. I wish I'd have done this sooner. Don't get caught half way to Timbuktu over this simple fix. P.S. Hey there General Motors, So you saved 15 cents a car by using the cheap plastic pipes..... Shame on You.

These are great upgrades for the 3.8ltr V6 motors that these come on. The factory ones are plastic and can crack and leak with age, and when that happens, it must be fixed. Instead of reinstalling the plastic ones, this part is the upgraded fix. You Must be at least mechanically inclined to perform this upgrade repair, otherwise please hire an experienced automotive mechanic to do this repair. These are fantastic upgrades and these won't crack like the plastic ones do and will last a long time. They are inexpensive and well worth it. A+

Glad i got these, turns out they were already replaced, but the seals were bad after removing. Put in these new ones and no leaks.

The Dorman 47065HP heater hose fittings are a serious upgrade from the flimsy plastic ones that originally came on my Buick. Those plastic fittings seemed to crack if you so much as looked at them wrong, so swapping to metal was like going from a paper straw to a steel pipe—durable and confidence-inspiring. They fit perfectly and have held up well so far, even under the hot-and-cold temper tantrums of an aging engine. That said, just a word of warning: while these are miles better than plastic, when they eventually give out (because nothing lasts forever), the metal fittings might decide to break off inside the motor. And let me tell you, that’s a headache you don’t want on a Monday. Still, I’d take that risk over the plastic ones snapping every other oil change. Just keep an extractor tool handy, and these fittings will be your best friend for quite a while. A solid upgrade with a minor "handle with care" warning!

They fit perfectly, 3 of the 4 ends on my old ones were broken. I had to use a j shaped pick to pull them out. The O rings and broken pieces were a bit tight. One old plastic piece fell down into the engine block and I removed the thermostat and back flushed it to get it to come out. Cleaned the housing with a s/s wire brush and put Vaseline on the rings to keep from damaging them. No leaks, now the cooling system is working perfectly.

These aluminum elbows are a must have for any General Motors owners who have the factory plastic elbows. The factory plastic elbows will fail. They may fail on your family vacation or a hunting trip, it is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when.. These aluminum elbows are an inexpensive upgrade to permanently fix a know issue.

Proactive replacement on 3.8 motors

A must-have for your L36 Series 2 3800 engine. I put them on my V6 firebird and they work nicely. No worries about them breaking. Make sure you lube the O-rings before inserting.
