Fun, but stock up with batteries!
This is brilliant and lots of fun to use, but seems to eat through batteries.

Great instrument for strange people
I cant imagine this instrument appealing to many westerners...unless they have a passion for unusual musical instruments like me. It's very quiet, but I find that an advantage because I can play it into a microphone if I want volume, and create dynamics by moving it nearer or further away from the mike. I can produce a vibrato by shaking it slightly whilst playing.

One was coincidence, two is a trend. I ordered one of these as a gift, but what I received produced a garbled sound, cutting in and out. It was unable to produce a note for more than a second without making a sort of clicking noise and stopping entirely. It sounded nothing like the videos. I figured it was an issue with the batteries, so I replaced them. Same result, no matter the make. Having faith in all of the positive reviews, I returned the one I had, deciding it was probably faulty, and ordered a new one. The one I got had the exact same problem. The quality is akin to something I would expect to get out of a happy meals toy, not a 40 pound "instrument". It is ridiculously overpriced and it underdelivers in every single way. I can't speak for everyone else, but the experience I have with these pieces of plastic is nothing but negative.

Ist ein geiles Instrument. Jetzt heißt es lernen.
Der preis ist für die Otamatone angenehm. Ein cooles Instrument. Leider kein akku sondern Batterien. Und dann auch nur mit einen 2mm Schraubenzieher (Kreutz) auf zu griegen. Oder mit geschickt ein Messer.
