Harry Potter: The Wand Collection (Book)

Fantastic Reading for the Kids !!

Very cool volume with about every wand that wielded in the Harry Potter movies represented. If you've been to Universal Studios' "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter", you've seen these displayed in different parts of the amusement park. These are a much less costly option to trying to collect all the different wands, as the pictures are very detailed and there is some interesting text accompanying each photo.

My children were thrilled by the character by character description and beautiful photo of each wand. The only thing I didn't particularly like was the comments by the actor who played the character, I would have preferred something more about the wand or how the character used it (in the book). However, this is a combination of movie and book, it's only a detail, and movie fans would probably appreciate it. The bottom line is that any HP fan will thoroughly enjoy it.

Hard bound sturdy book of the Harry Potter Wand Collection. Beautifully illustrated with detail descriptions and information of each wand! I enjoyed it as much as much as my 11 yr old grand son.

Amazing book! It has information about the wands of every character, from the main ones to very minor ones.

Would have had 5 stars but the cover was marred.

My kiddo loves to look at the wands again and again. She looked at it in the store for years before I bought her own copy. This book is best for an older child that can take care with the long pages, some of which fold out. The store copy was pretty beat up because of the rectangular shape. If the long sides of the cover aren’t treated with care, the short spine gets loose.

This is a birthday present to my husband and he loves it he loves it so much that it became part of my decorations for my living room yes my living room is Harry Potter themed. If you’re looking for something that will amuse a Harry Potter lover then you’ve come to the right place. You can’t go wrong it has so many different ones in it and descriptions in gives people who are DIY Obsessed great ideas such as myself.

This is a beautiful book. Information on each wand and a photo of each.

The book is good, but it's binding is all damaged. When you open the book, the whole thing wants to come off. This ruins the complete product experience. Potterheads will love the book, despite the very poor presentation.

Well crafted and thoughtful collection of all of the wands of Harry Potter. A must for fans, collectors, prop enthusiasts and makers. The horizontal format is unique and well executed. Wonderfully photographed images and tidbits of knowledge about the wands and the characters they chose; as we all know, the wand chooses the wizard! Printed on heavy stock paper with a wonderfully finished hardcover with embossed detail. 27 pages of behind the scenes knowledge related to the wands, their use and design. Then,147 pages of The Wands, On the right hand page of each pair of pages, a high resolution, high quality photo, on the left hand page, a cartouche containing the photo of the wands owner, the characters name and a paragraph of knowledge about the character and their wand with a description of the wands details. Many of the main characters include behind the scenes information and quotes from the actors. Three beautiful fold out pages. Lastly, a visual index with a small image of each wand, it's owner's name and the wand length, for a total of 60 wands detailed. What a great resource and conversation starter. My particular interest is that of a prop maker, collector and Harry Potter fan. This book is exactly the resource I've been looking for. Now, lets see, flaws. It really has none, but I will mention a couple things that come to mind. Being a prop maker, I would have loved to see the back of each wand as well as the front as some wands include details that you cannot see otherwise. The pages are black, which makes for incredible style and finish to the book, but you're bound to leave fingerprints if you're not careful. Everything about this book speaks to the dedication and care that went into it's production. Not only with regard to the contents but also the construction and finish of the book. Even the end papers were thoughtfully executed. You won't be disappointed.
