I Love This Device Already. Just Some Minor Issues.
I bought one of these as a radio shutter release to replace my old Hahnel infra red device which always frustrated me - requiring direct line of sight.I use a Canon 5D MkIII so bought the RW-221/N3 version.Straight out of the box it functions perfectly even with the control button well hidden from the camera and allowing operation from a good distance. I tried it out in bright light - where the Hahnel fails and had 100% success in all testsA few notes on the different functions:Firstly, the switch movement between the four functions is quite small and not obvious so do check that you are using the correct one before you start any serious shooting.- Single shoot works as you would expect with your Camera in One Shot mode- 1S Continuous Shoot. Leave your camera on One Shot mode and it will take one shot per second for as long as you hold the controller button down.- High Speed Continuous Shoot. This the same setting on the controller but you must change your camera to High Speed Continuos mode. This was the most disappointing setting as whatever ISO and Shutter Speed setting I used I could only get 2 shots each time. Yes they were high speed but I might have wanted more than two shots. My camera shoots at 5-6 per second normally.- Bulb Shooting. You also need to set your camera to bulb mode. The first press of the controller will open the shutter. You don't need to hold the button down. When you want to close the shutter just press the button again.- Delay Shooting. If you leave your camera in One Shot mode pressing the Controller will activate it's own 5 second delay. There is no sound to give you a warning that the shutter will fire you just need to count. You could, alternatively, set your camera to it's 2 or 10 second timer and the Controller to Single Shooting for this to work with the camera countdown. So, you have options beyond that described in the manual. Two additional slight downsides:The product description on Amazon did say that 4 AAA batteries would be included. Whilst there is a moulded space in the packaging I did not receive any batteries. Might have just been my misfortune.Secondly, the controller does not have an Off Switch. It just goes to sleep after a period. This may not work for me as I plan to keep the kit in my bag. I might therefore accidentally wake it and use up the battery. I will need to see if this is a problem requiring me to remove the batteries after each use.On the plus side, the kit is small, sleek and light. The receiver fits nicely in your hotshoe or will safely hang if you are using on camera flash or flash controller.Overall. A great little gadget for the reasonable cost. None of the mentioned downsides actually cause me a problem at the moment so I really love this little device..

Great product, good price
Great little product which does what it says on the tin. I've used this successfully over large distances from -5degC to +35degC without issue. I work in the film industry and find it's easy to fall into the trap of buying the big branded goods. In most applications this is necessary for the quality they bring, but for small items like this it's worth the risk. Nice indicator lights and function settings. I use rechargeable batteries which work fine. The unit uses very little power and is very lightweight.

Doesn't work with a Canon 5D MK III.
I am very disappointed with this remote control. The unit is made of flimsy plastic and the instructions are not fit for purpose because they are written in complete gibberish. It is possible to autofocus the 5D, but not to fire the shutter, with rather defeats the purpose of buying this device. I can only assume that those who gave it glowing reviews had better luck than me.

I was a bit sceptical about this before I took the plunge and tried it out. I have to admit I was wrong to be sceptical - it is a very good product for taking single shots - I haven't tried it doing long exposures. Although I couldn't work out how to bracket my shots when I used this. There is a switch on the handset which seems to allow you to do this and I made sure my camera (Canon 6D) was on the right setting but I couldn't get it to work for some reason. Taking three separate shots in that instance wasn't a problem but I hope I can find out how it should work.. Anyway, that small issue aside, its a good product.

Great for proposals!
Easy to setup, chose this as I couldn't use remote triggers with my 50d, wireless worked a treat. Bought entirely with the purpose of taking pictures remotely when I proposed to my girlfriend, was reliable and did exactly what was expected, range is decent, also allows for continuous shooting and focusing is easy with a half press. Definitely recommend.

Great little performer
For less than £15 this is definately worth buying even as a backup piece of kit - has decent range and hasnt missed any shots so far infact its performed consistently better than a couple of higher priced mainstream remotes I have used previously. The trigger button on the remote is fairly sensitive - but you can half press to engage focus and then fully press to take the shots. Has single shot, multiple frame, bulb and timer functionsBuild is good for the priceComes with 4 AAA batteries (non rechargeable) and the cable to connect into the camera remote port which is fairly compact and keeps things tidyDoesnt include any carry pouch or caseTested on Canon 7D

... expect too much for this price but I am amazed and impressed after I got it
I did not expect too much for this price but I am amazed and impressed after I got it. The item was safely packed and did arrive 8 days earlier than announced, which was a nice surprise. All was included as description say and in best order and condition. The product did work from the spot and do, what it should do without any hazzle on my Canon. You can do single shots, change to multishooting and time delay of 5 sec (that's what the Remote Control give you, without changing it on your cam). The remote control allows also to change into BULB. I can recommend the product without the shadow of a doubt, as long as you not need more fuctions.

I am very pleased with this
I am very pleased with this. It is light weight and easy to use. I found the cable release I used previously easy to use, but the long cable meant the handset dragged on the floor and became tangled around my tripod legs when I wanted to move location. With this, I put the handset in my pocket leaving both my hands free when I want to carry my bag and tripod to change position/location, and because of it's generous range I don't have to be right by the tripod to capture an image.
