I love this as a beginner paint set. I am a professional artist and I spend a lot of time painting. I got this set for my 3 year old to be able to paint when she wants to. Water brushes are easy for her to control and keep the watercolors clean. The paper is good quality. Nice variety of colors. The pigments are not high quality; they aren’t strong and they are a bit murky. But for a $20 set it’s a great buy. Would recommend for beginners and kids.

I gave this watercolor set to my 7 year old grandson and he absolutely loved it! The watercolor paper is heavy and slightly textured, which is perfect for watercolor painting. The colors are bright and mix well. My grandson enjoyed the ease of painting with the watercolor pens. It made a great gift!

Bought this for my elementary aged kiddo to use. The paints are beautiful and vibrant color. The paper is a nice thick quality that allows for the massive amount of paint and water my kiddo sometimes stacks on it. And, the best part is the water filled brushes. They make for less messes and easy clean up. I definitely recommend.

Definitely a beginner set and good for the price but the paper quality makes it difficult to do a wash because it’s so absorbent. I learned quickly also that the paper will only take so many strokes before it peels. The paints are very muted, flat, and need a lot of water to get the pigment. Dried paint results in chalky opaque color. Good for kids but may be not the best for adults if you really want to learn work on beginner techniques. The water brushes are a great idea to help soften the paint but you can’t control the flow of water.

I haven't water colored since I was a kid but I thought I would give it a try since I'm getting back into crafting. These were wonderful!! I love that it's a kit and everything you need to get started is right here. I also thought it was a great idea to have the water INSIDE the pens. It made it so much easier to use. Be sure to practice on a seperate sheet of paper until you get a feel for the flow of the paint and water. You definitely need to try this. I plan on buying a few more to have friends over for Wine & Watercolors!! Cheers!!

Not only is this a great product and great for all ages, but the customer service you receive is absolutely amazing! They reached out to me right away and have been wonderful to communicate with! This is easily the best purchase I’ve made all of 2020. I’m a gal in my early 30s and have been working from home since the start of covid. I bought this about two weeks ago and it has been the perfect 5-10 minute break in my day when I need to step away from my computer for a minute. I’ve never been “crafty” but this has been such a fun way to add creativity to my life. If you’re on the fence about ordering, just do it! The pages are thick and it’s really fun experimenting with water color (again- newbie to art here). The you can fill the end of your brush with water, which makes it super convenient too! It might be weird to say, but this little art set has just brought me so much joy during all of this crazy chaos!

The paint was chalky and terrible. I. Think it actually destroyed the brushes. The brushes started splaying. The book was good. A normal watercolor book

I like the thickness of the paper, 300gsm is a very good thickness for watercolour. There is a good range of colours but I was a bit puzzled by the color grouping. It comes with a pack of 3 different brush size allowing for various projects. The pack is great as a gift as it is encompassing and suitable for all young and old.
