Great quality non OEM product
Having invested in my camera and lens I was thinking am I being a bit of a brand snob wanting an OEM hood - however the cost difference was quite a bit and I decided to purchase this one with a view to perhaps purchasing the OEM version at a later date. However I'm glad I didn't pay the additional cost as this is a great quality lens hood and it certainly doesn't stand out as a cheap alternative. It fits perfectly on the lens and I like the locking feature which holds it in place. I'm sure if you sat both side by side you would not be able to tell the difference and would be hard pushed to justify the cost difference to have Canon printed on a lens hood.
