KitchenCraft Cheese Grater with Container, Gift Boxed, Plastic / Stainless Steel, 23 x 8 x 6 cm

Purchased one of these years ago and have used it so often for grating and also storing the cheese. It is very easy to use with the different type of grating, easy enough to change.We cleaned ours in the dishwasher mainly and eventually it became very frosted and then eventually it cracked, which is why we purchased a new one instantly.Seems to be a newer version, but so far have been pleased with it. Hasn't frosted in the dishwasher yet.Recommended.

Just right for the job

I have had several of these graters over the years, it is so practical grating straight into the container. The container does craze and crack, so they do need replacing regularly.This new grater has a different design. The container seems be made of a better quality acrylic than the previous model.Unfortunately it has some major flaws. Firstly, the metal grater inserts are coated in a plastic film which was starting to come away on first use. I am not sure if this is a non stick coating or is supposed to be entirely removed before use.Secondly, the graters just do not sit securely on the container, so it is extremely difficult to use them.I would have returned it as not fit for purpose, but I had used the grater and had discarded the packaging.Luckily I hadn't disposed of the old grater, I am now using the old grater inserts which luckily fit the new grater's container. I cannot recommend this grater.

After using all types of grater over the years and finding none of them ideal - slip around on the plate/work surface etc etc I thought I'd try this one out. It is grate - sorry!! The non slip feet do their job well, no slipping around or having to grip so hard you grate your fingers! Plus you grate directly into the base so don't need to balance a grater over a dish any more, and I've stored grated cheese in the base in between uses and it's fine.I like this grater so much I'm about to order one for a friend who has been admiring it very subtly!!

this is the best grater i have ever owned i can grate a 500 gm piece of cheese in about 1 minute and is easy to keep clean,only reason i have not given 5 stars is the base clouds a bit after washing a few times but not a problem as i know what im grating anyway lol

The standard grater does a good job as does the mandolin blade & the base is non slip - which is good for people with dodgy hands, like me!The 'fine' grater is the sort that you would use for nutmeg not cheese unfortunately & there is no lid to seal the base for storage purposes otherwise it would get 5 stars.

The container part looks okay, the grater lid part doesn't click in however. Also the heating surfaces are all inserts and they fail to clip in properly. They fall out the Instant you try to grate something. Useless.

If you find it hard to grate stuff with an upright grater....try this. It's much easier. Quick and easy to use ..a quick rinse and it's done. I've done parmesan (very hard cheese) and it makes light work of it. Also does chedder etc very easily. Carrots are no problem to grate. It has a slicer blade which I have used for carrots and cucumber. There is a third blade which is a sort of funny shaped grate which I'm not quite sure what it's for!! There's no lid for the box part but as I usually only grate what I need it's not an issue. Very sharp grater and would recommend.
