Good build quality and a nice finish that was well applied. I would buy again.

I installed this Thumb Latch today. Just looking at the thumb latch, you see that the surface features are not precise. Not sure how to describe it, but it appears as if the mold that it was made from was worn out. The catch for the lever is barely a quarter inch high. A little vibration pops the lever right out of the catch. The instructions are totally worthless. Then there is the fragility of the piece. The first screw I put in, using a hand screw driver, and having pre-drilled the hole, the screw head snapped off. I will be replacing this latch.

Some parts didn’t fit to together

This item claimed to be Iron, there is no way because it broke off the handle broke off and now I have to pay the contractor again to replace it and buy another latch set.

We had a really hard time looking for a replacement for our very old, worn out latch. We’re very happy with this nicely designed thumb latch. It was easy to install and works well. I would have liked a deeper hook to hold the bar but even this shallow hook is working well.

Used to hang back gate. Easy to install but I don't like how the gate latch hits the holder when it attempts to close. No matter how I set the latch holder, the latch won't automatically latch by riding up the holder and fall into the groove.. I have to manually lift the latch and set it into place. It is very sturdy and solid though. Also would be better if latch holder groove was deeper and if the screws weren't so "dinky" (i ended up using heavier wood screws).

Great latch handle, the catch needs to be determined and the screws are useless. Use different screw thr heads break off.
