Does exactly what I wanted it to, certainly a good buy if you want music controls and/or a microphone with ATH-M50x 's
I got this for a couple of reasons, to use a microphone on my PC along with my ATH-M50x 's and also so I can control volume and skip songs on my phone while listening to music as none of the cables that come with the headphones have a microphone or music control buttons and this cable does these without any problems. Absolutely worth buying if you want music controls or a microphone to work with the ATH-M50x 's.

Stopped working after two weeks
Bought these for my ATH M40Xs as a mic. The mic worked for about two weeks and the just stopped working. Very disappointed. Looking to return this and buy something else. Avoid this product.

Decent call quality
Great cable with clear voice when using the microphone I would recommend this to anyone

Good for phone calls, not so great for VOIP through a computer.
I bought these so I could use the ATH-M50x headphones as a proper headset and not just for listening. Unfortunately, the mic quality is relatively poor compared to my previous USB headset. It works just fine for phone calls and such, but plugged into a computer gives rather poor, buzzy sound, even through a proper sound card. I've tried fiddling with settings but it isn't quite as fit-for-purpose as I'd have hoped.

Good idea, bad excecution.
Great idea but didn't last long at all. The volume broke a month after I bought them and that meant that all the other functions on it played up messing with things like volume and skipping songs. Now the cable has had it too after only 2-3 months or so.

Not for iPhone
Cable is good enough but worth noting controls only really works for Android phones, not iPhones.
