And the timer to keep the carafe hot is easily adjustable for between 30-120 minutes so your coffee stays hot! The carafe is a bit smaller than full size makers — and this uses number 2 size filters — but it is great for 4 large mugs of coffee. Looks nice and has a small footprint — easily fits under your upper cupboards. Much better than the no name brands makers I tried. So just buy this one if you want your coffee to taste like it does in a restaurant and not thin and watery.

Makes a lovely cup of coffee, and is easy and clean to use. Some people seem confused about how long it'll keep the pot warm for. I believe it's 30 minutes by default, but there's an option to change that. I have it set to 90 minutes, and it works just fine. I've knocked a star off for two reasons - one, the device has a very useful 'no drip' feature that cuts the flow of liquid into the pot off when you remove it. But even if left until it looks like all the coffee has passed into the pot, there can often be a drip on to the hot plate when you take the pot out. It's hardly the end of the world to give it a quick wipe, but it means the feature isn't quite working as it should. And two, the (102 size) filters can be a bit tricky to get hold of, at least here in the UK. I haven't been able to find them in most of the supermarkets I've been to, for example. You can either buy more standard sizes and tear a bit off, or I'd recommend finding an online supplier and buying a load of them. Shop around a bit for prices. Those two slight niggles aside, I think it's a great machine, and would happily recommend it.

We've been subjecting this Melitta coffee machine to some rigorous testing for the past two months, averaging 3 to 4 cups a day, although sometimes it feels like I should just attach a caffeine IV drip to stay upright. Yes, it makes hot coffee. Actual hot coffee. Not the “barely warmed up, better down it fast before it goes tepid” stuff that cheaper machines throw at you as if you’ll be impressed. With this, you can actually take your time and still feel like you’re sipping something that’s not dead inside. So, no more putting your coffee in the old microwave every time you need a drinkable temperature. Taste Revolution? Now, here’s the brutal reality. I wondered if spending a bit more on a coffee machine (my last was a cheaper supermarket brand) would magically turn my coffee into some heavenly nectar, the kind that makes you close your eyes and see visions of Italian piazzas. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t. The taste is… exactly what you’d get from a budget machine, just a bit warmer. There’s no fairy dust, no flavour revelation; it’s coffee, but don’t expect it to make you question your life choices. If you were hoping for coffee that would change your outlook on life, look elsewhere (or just switch to vodka). This machine has a lovely little feature that keeps your coffee warm for two hours. Perfect if you, like me, lose track of time and end up going back to the coffee machine to microwave what remains of the previous brew, which is cold. I saw a few reviews claiming standard filters don’t fit. Rest assured, they absolutely do, so no need to go on some quest for niche filters with Melitta’s secret emblem on them. Supermarket filters fit just fine, so there’s no excuse to break down in the tea aisle. The Verdict: At the end of the day, this Melitta is a solid machine that brews coffee at a temperature that is actually hot. Is it going to awaken your senses and transport you to a higher plane? Not unless you’ve been drinking ditch water up until now. But if you just want hot, dependable coffee that you don’t have to microwave, it’s got you covered. No angels will sing, but at least you’ll have coffee. And sometimes, that’s all we need to get through the day—just mildly caffeinated and with minimal existential dread.

Easy to operate and quick to set up. Top up the water tank, add a filter & your favourite ground coffee last thing at night. One button press in the morning and after a few gentle bubbling and gurgling sounds you’ll have a wonderful jug off coffee to start the day. 3-3.5 tbsp scoops of filter coffee is spot on. We get just over 4 x 12oz mugs out of one jug, or a coffee with breakfast and one to go, each. The hot plate is nicely sealed and can be given a quick wipe. Everything else comes apart easily for washing including the lid of the jug. There is a clock but it needs to be kept plugged in to keep time. There’s also a timer if you’re a creature of habit. The filter basket swings out and has a removable inner basket in which you put your filter. Melitta also make filters, available in most supermarkets & Amazon. Unfortunately our local store only stocks one size. A little tip: if the filter is too large and brushing the top of the opening as you close it, fold the top edges over and then the top two corners so you have a kind of boat shape for a perfect fit. Failing to do this if the filter is too large could result in flooding. This is not a design flaw just something which can happen. Overall this is a tidy, nicely made coffee machine that doesn’t take up too much space and doesn’t break the bank. One cup is never enough for anyone who’s had a coffee made in this. We love it!

La compré hace menos de un mes pero estoy súper contenta, es rápida, el café con un sabor y aroma delicioso y se puede lavar todo que es lo mejor, puedo sacar el deposito de agua y lavarlo aparte tiene opción de descalcificar . Para mí un 10 total

Ich habe mich aufgrund der zahlreichen sehr guten Bewertungen dazu entschieden, diese Kaffeemaschine zu kaufen. Vor allen Dingen haben mich die Timer Funktion und der abnehmbare Wasserfilter begeistert. Die Lieferung ging, wie von Amazon gewohnt schnell. Verpackung war angemessen. Jetzt zum Wichtigsten: Die Kaffeemaschine ist schnell aufgestellt Die Bedienung ist schon ziemlich intuitiv (es schadet trotzdem nicht, sich Zeit für die gute Bedienungsanleitung zu nehmen) Den Test zur Wasserhärte habe ich gemacht, letztendlich aber doch nichts geschnallt. Die Schrift auf dem Test ist zu klein und ich habe keine Ahnung, was dieser mir mitteilen wollte. :) In der Bedienungsanleitung stand, dass man zwei Mal Wasser durchlaufen lassen soll. Habe ich also gemacht. Das erste positive Erlebnis hatte ich in diesem Moment. Nichts stank nach Plastik. Hat man ja häufig bei neuen Kaffeemaschinen. Die geben am Anfang einen unangenehmen Plastikgeruch ab. Bei dieser aber nicht. Tropfstop kontrolliert. Nix tropft. Auch ziemlich gut. Jetzt aber zur Generalprobe: Der Kaffee läuft schnell durch und wird stark und heiß. Ich habe am Anfang ziemlich viel Kaffee genommen. Ungewohnter Weise. Der Löffel ist fast stehen geblieben. Ich nehme nun weniger Kaffee. ;) Der Timer funktioniert zuverlässig und einwandfrei. Man muss die Timer Taste fest halten und dann die Zeit einstellen. Das habe ich am Anfang ein bisschen umständlich empfunden, war aber schnell kein Problem mehr. Danach drückt man die Timer Taste noch einmal um den Timer dann wirklich an zu schalten. Hatte ich beim ersten Mal gar nicht gemacht. Der nächste Morgen war überraschend Kaffeearm. Die LED Lampe der Timer Funktion finde ich fast schon zu hell. Sie leuchtet sehr kräftig in blau. Das nervt mich und ich stelle meine Kaffeetasse für den nächsten Morgen davor. Ich kann mir vorstellen, wenn jemand in einem 1-Zimmer Apartment wohnt, dass es dann doch sehr nervig sein kann. Es werden Kaffeefilter der Größe 2 bei Melitta heißen sie 102 benötigt. Wenn man die gängige Größe (4) hat, kann man diese einmal umknicken. Ich habe heraus gefunden, dass es bei DM die Größe 2, 120 Stück für 0,55 Cent gibt. Damit kann man leben. Die Kanne ist kleiner, als man es gewohnt ist. Wäre es eine Handtasche, würde ich es jetzt Raumwunder nennen. Man bekommt trotz allem eine gute Menge an Kaffee in die Kanne. Auch für große Tassen. Die Schließung dieses Kaffeefilterdingens ist wirklich sanft und schön. Die Abtropffunktion hat mich jetzt schon drei Mal im Stich gelassen. Das finde ich natürlich nicht so gut. Aber ansonsten funktioniert das wohl. Wenn der Kaffee 60 Minuten auf der Wärmeplatte stand (länger habe ich es noch nicht ausprobiert) schmeckt der Kaffee nicht angebrannt oder abgestanden. Man bekommt ihn trotz allem heiß und frisch. Ein dickes Plus. Alles in allem bin ich sehr, sehr zufrieden mit der Kaffeemaschine. Ich würde sie jedem weiter empfehlen und auch immer wieder kaufen. Selbstverständlich hoffe ich, dass ich das nicht so bald wieder muss. Diese Kalk Sache habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert. Ich kann also dazu keine Info geben. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass das Kabel der Kaffeemaschine ein bisschen länger ist. 22.02.2017 Ich habe inzwischen ein paar Mal entkalken müssen. Das funktioniert, indem man den kompletten Wasserbehälter befüllt und dann die Kalk Taste drückt, wenn diese blinkt. Die Kaffeemaschine ist so konzipiert, dass wenn sie meint es wird Zeit zum entkalken, dann wird auch kein Kaffee mehr getrunken bis sie entkalkt ist. Sie blinkt hektisch, brüht aber nicht mehr. Wenn ich mich dazu entscheide einfach wann anders zu entkalken, die Kaffeemaschine dann aber einfach stur keinen Kaffee mehr raus gibt ärgert mich das sehr. Die Tropf-Stop-Funktion hat mich jetzt schon ein paar Mal öfters im Stich gelassen. Zwar nicht viel und nicht häufig, aber es ist passiert und ich konnte das unangenehme Brutzeln auf der Platte hören. Positiv ist allerdings, dass die Platte sehr leicht zu reinigen ist und der Kaffee sich nicht in die Platte einbrennt. Ansonsten bin ich noch voll zufrieden mit der Maschine. Der Kaffee wird immernoch genau so heiß wie am ersten Tag und hat auch an Geschwindigkeit nicht nachgelassen. 13.09.2020 die Kaffeemaschine funktioniert noch wie am ersten Tag. Geschwindigkeit top und heiß ist der Kaffee auch noch. 02.01.2023 Sie läuft immernoch zuverlässig, aber läuft nicht aus. Gekauft im Jahre 2016 Jetzt im Mai 2025 hat die Kaffeemaschine aufgegeben und es ist absolut in Ordnung. Lebe wohl gute Kaffeemaschine. Dein Leben war heiß und voller Koffein. Inconviniet that without warning it comes with a UK electrical plug.Needed to buy a plug converter. Difficult to find in stores the paper filters.

cercavo una macchina da caffè americano-tedesco in sostituzione della Russell Hobbs (che è durata solo 7 mesi) e ho iniziato a guardare modelli di fascia medio-alta dal costo sui €300. confrontando questa melita con quei modelli via varie video recensioni ho deciso di provare, complice anche un notevole risparmio. non posso ancora attestarne la durata nel tempo, ma ad oggi posso dire che funziona alla grande e fa un caffè alla temperatura giusta, esce molto caldo (non perchè scaldato dalla piastra) non so se rispetti i parametri "golden cup" ma per tutti i giorni va benissimo. i punti forza secondo me stanno nella progettazione: l'idea del serbatoio estraibile che si può riempire al rubinetto mi ha svoltato la vita, dato che lo spazio a mia disposizione sopra la macchina è ridotto da una mensola che non posso eliminare. il cassettino porta filtro con sportellino e parte estraibile molto comodo per posizionare i filtri di carta (uso misura 2 anche se consigliano la 4, mi sembra carta sprecata) ed eliminarli. è potente, la piastra riscalda il caffè già fatto in tempi molto rapidi, così come è rapida a fare il caffè: in 8 minuti fa una caraffa intera di caffè bollente. è silenziosa, gorgoglia leggermente solo alla fine, che mi serve a capire che il caffè è pronto (non emette bip), un po' come la moka. la funzionalità timer si commenta da sola, imposti l'orario, la lasci pronta con acqua e caffè e ti svegli la mattina con il profumo. il tocco molto apprezzato è stato il misurino per determinare la durezza dell'acqua, proprio mentre mi chiedevo: "ma come cavolo faccio a sapere la durezza dell'acqua?!". complimenti all'azienda che ci ha pensato! l'unico aspetto che non mi fa impazzire è che il programma per decalcificare è solo in automatico, si imposta la durezza dell'acqua e lui si regola in base a quanti caffè si fanno. raggiunto il limite impone di fare un giro di decalcificazione (utilissimo! migliora notevolmente il gusto del caffè dopo un bel po' di giri). avrei preferito poter attivare il ciclo anche manualmente, ma ho ovviato facendo fare un ciclo senza caffè con serbatoio pieno con dentro 1/3 di aceto bianco. conclusioni: va che è una meraviglia, non perde un colpo e fa un ottimo caffè per tutti i giorni. consigliata vivamente! se dura così, la prossima la acquisterò della stessa marca. parola di lupetto 😁
