Easy to use, essential piece of kit to have on hand for puppies.
I bought one of these in readiness for whelping a liter of puppies. Although I didn't need it for the whelping it has since come into its own for removing excess milk from puppies throats and noses when they overdo their suckling on mum, i.e. start to aspirate.

Saved my Pup
I hand to hand rear 7 English bulldog pups- they were bottle fed and got greedy- this was a godsend for getting the milk from their nose quickly, one pup also suffered from thick snot and would struggle to breathe begin to go blue- this cleared it quickly and pup is happy healthy thriving and 8wks old - so glad I had bought this

I swear to God...
This is amazing... I brought this because my baby's nose was constantly runny... Then he decided to not have the sniffles any more... Until a week or so later... This contraption literally saved his life! (I think so anyway!!) Baby was pretty warm that evening so I took his top off as he looked pretty flustered.. within seconds he started having a big panic attack... worrying look on his face, arms flying everywhere, crying - no screaming!! At first I thought he was choking on sick (as baby's love vomiting) so I was patting his back but he only got more frustrated so I stopped and noticed His nose was blocked so much - that he COULD NOT BREATHE ๐ฐ - I ran upstairs to get his nose plunger (nickname of mine lol) and started plunging.. lots of boogers came out and he started breathing... Still very unsettled and frustrated so I gave him cuddles and a little bit of water to drink... Then his dummy.. he settled. Rang 111 (UK healthcare phone help) for advice and they booked him in hospital for emergency appt. The doc checked him over and he's fine. I had to buy some saline nasal drops to aid the nose sucking as I didn't have any before (it does actually work much better with the saline drops - ยฃ2.99 from the pharmacy) *If I hadn't have had the nose sucker I don't think he would have made it* ๐ฐ I swear every new parent needs one of these, I never leave home without it ๐

Actually pretty good!
I have an almost identical aspirator with a join in the middle that sells itself as "fully washable" but it's pretty much useless. This on the other hand has effective suction and has rescued many a clot of snot (sorry, but that's what I bought it for!) from my newborn son's blocked nose, bless him. I think at the price, I'm happy to wash it out with soapy water (suck it up, shake it, squirt it out) - and if I get worried about mould, I'll just buy a new one. It's not as if you're using it to blow stuff into your child/pet - you're sucking it out! Therefore there is no reason to get mould spores or any bacteria onto/into your charge. PS, if you have already read this review and it appears different, or are the seller and saw my previous comments, please accept my apologies because I posted my review of the almost identical pull-apart version against this product first, in error...

The syringe has a decent capacity
I use these syringes in a fountain pen hobby, for cleaning out pens and ink converters

A bit big
My puppies were probably a bit to small for this to work properly, I'm glad I didn't really need it.
