Perfect for a boy's room!
This was ordered as a Christmas gift for my 8 year old son who is a BIG Minecraft fan.He absolutely loves it for his Minecraft themed room. It is quite small for the money but nevertheless he adores it.Just remember when you have put the batteries in and turn it on that it won't light unless you tap it. I went through four sets of batteries before I realised this mistake!

it makes a perfect stocking filler for any minecraft fan
This is small, about the size of a Rubik's cube, but at a price far below the RRP, it makes a perfect stocking filler for any minecraft fan.It doesn't stay lit for long, you have to tap it to turn the lights on, but this saves repeatedly replacing the batteries in my opinion. At a bargain price, this is a nice novelty gift.

Small and expensive ...but... minecraft fans will love it
Bought for my mimecraft mad 7 year old son. It is very small about the size of a rubiks cube and the light is not very strong but still effective. It has 3 levels of light and an off option. You change this by tapping on the cube. I found you had to hit it quite hard for it to work but found that if you simply lift it and put it back down again it works easier and goes through the options better than by hitting it. Not worth full RRP. I purchased it on sale and was happy to pay what I did as minecraft is very expensive to buy. Would not pay more than £16 for blue version do waiting on that one to reduce too. Minecraft fans will like this.

... my nephew though after testing it I quite felt like I would've wanted one
Gift for my nephew though after testing it I quite felt like I would've wanted one. It's a decent size, the lights are bright. 3 brightness settings adjusted with a gentle tap on the top. The nephew liked it so it was worth the buy

I was disappointed with the size of the product I thought it was a lot bigger, however I know nothing about Minecraft other than my grandson talks about Mine craft all of the time. When he is not talking about it he is playing interactively. On a positive note the size means he carry this around with him. He will be delighted with it no matter what size and his opinion is the one that counts!

Fun for Minecraft nerds!
I bought this for Christmas to my sons that plays Minecraft, and this was the most appriciated gift they got this year! :-)It maybe look a little to lightgrey in a lighted room, but when you damp the light in the room and light the cube, then it looks great! When you change lightlevel on this cube, remember to wait a second between the taps/knocks, otherwise it wount change. (I think they made it like that on purpose so it wouldnt be so sensitive to doubleknocks)The 5-minute timer is also perfect to save some batteries, but I wish it would be possible to change to 10 or 15 minutes so the kids have time to get asleep before it turns off.

Brighter than I expected, bought the Diamond and the Redstone ones. Has on / off switch and tap it to select 3 different levels of brightness. Expensive for a light up box but then all Minecraft stuff is expensive.

Cool gift - currently overpriced
Great for a gift for a minecraft lover, its bright enough for a nightlight and worked well - however it is only a plastic cube with a light inside, there is no way I would pay over £6 for it. Add 'Minecraft' to the item and it seems you can charge silly money for it. Now its 2 ish months close to Christmas the price has gone silly. I bought this and the blue one earlier in the year at a more reasonable price as gifts for some kids birthday parties. My son wanted one too so its now in my shopping basket, Santa won't be buying at the current price though so unlucky!!!

Looks pretty cool
It’s way smaller then I expected, that was my own fault for not looking at the dimensions listed before getting it, but it’s fine. My son wanted it for a birthday gift I know he will love it!

Small, cute, but can be difficult to use... probably not good for young kids
I fully expected this item to be small because I had seen it at a local store before I purchased it. However, if you have never seen this in person before it COULD be disappointing. It's a 3 inch cube... so 3 inches wide, 3 inches tall, 3 inches deep. It has a clear bottom piece that you put batteries (not included) into and then screw the piece back on. It seems like it could be pretty easy to break, but we have it up on a shelf and use it as a novelty toy. It is pretty easy to accidentally turn on (bump the shelf and it turns on). There IS a switch on the bottom to turn on and off if it gets annoying or to only have it turned on for certain things. Since it can get difficult to tap through the levels of lights and get it to turn off this could be a good feature! The light on it has 3 levels, but there is not a lot of difference between the 2nd and 3rd levels. I can see a clear difference between the 1st light level and the 2nd one, though.I know that some people probably feel like for the high price of this type of item that it should be better, but since it is such a popular game I highly doubt that anything like this will be as cheap as we want. I think it would be a good gift for an older Minecraft fan (probably not younger kids). I had to wait a while for mine but I'm glad I got it in the long run. It's fun to have around the house!
