Everything about the actual quality of playback is tip top for the price. What brings this down to a 2* review is the fact that as a portable player, they stopped playing discs half way through and refused to start again, when in the car. We'd bought for the kids, as a way of distracting on a 10 hour journey, and after a couple of movies, the screen suddenly decided to freeze, the disc would just spin, and you couldn't restart the movie any which way. Turned out to be. Very long journey for the kids after all. Sent back as soon as we returned from our hols.

I have just purchased a Cooau portable DVD player for my mother as I already have one myself and I’m very pleased with it. I was so impressed with the DVD player and have happily recommended it to others. It looks great, plays great and is really robust as we recently took it to the Dominican Republic and back to entertain our children. The picture quality is good and unlike other portable players I have watched the lid doesn’t constantly pop up when playing. I am very pleased with the purchase.

This is a really good dvd player. The picture quality is amazing on the 12.5” screen.All the functions are easy to follow and the remote control too.The only way to see it for yourself is if your looking for a portable dvd player then do not look past this one.My Dad uses it everyday at the moment as he is in hospital. He has spent almost 20 weeks in due to a variety of illnesses.He said it was a long day before having something to do, now he watches all his westerns with a pair of headphones on.One more thing, the battery life is fantastic. I was shocked with how long it lasted of one charge.I highly recommend this!

Awful awful awful do not buy. Used very little as sound was sooo quiet and picture hardly visible. Item itself weighs next to nothing.Despite minimal use it stopped working and has not worked since. Thrown in the bin after 6 uses. That’s £10 per use and a poor quality experience.Please don’t waste your money.***added after reading other reviews****Please note- I bought this item a year ago. With hindsight the other reviews may not be as good.

I am a bit disappointed with the quality. It works very loud but at the same time, the sounds are bad. I need to use portable sounds.The menu isn't nice and sometimes the buttons don't react for the first time.I bought it for my child because she loves to borrow DVD in a library and the child said she likes the player and wants to keep it.At least it does its job and it's quite light and easy to manage for a child. So it's ok.

I recieved this dvd player today and am more than impressed with it so for. I looked at similar priced(and higher) portable dvd players on the high steeet, and they were not as big as this one or had as much functionality as this one for the same price bracket. The picture and sound are great.i will update this review after ive used this for a while.

Looks good and decent enough playback , however the lid where you put the dvd in became loose after 2 months or so and fell completely off soon after .Now the DVD player is useless , definately not worth £55. The worst of it is the guaranteed is a ridiculous 3 months so I can’t even return it .

Read previous reviews which I always do and some stated it was a bit too much plastic. It is and not as well made as I would have liked but it does the job, good price and good screen size and tilts very well, All in all I would recommend.
