Are these the same as the ‘Chocolate Decadence’ flavour (ie renamed) or are they a totally different bar?

Don't know but they were minty and delicious!!! Love'd them. :D Sorta like after8 Chocolate brand here in the UK.

The carbs on the bar are over 16g. I don't see how they can advertise them as 1.7g net carbs, even when you deduct the fibre, a bar is still 10g+?

Low in carbs - contains 1.7g Net carbs that what you count when balancing carb & sugar ( Carbs 16.5g of which sugar 0.8g of which polyols 14.8g, fiber 5.9g, protein 18g, salt 0.4g, fat 12g of which saturates 6.5g,,, So work it out

Are these bars suitable for phase one?

Different bars have different carb. value but they are suitable as long as you keep within the required limit of total carbs.
