Love it!! 🔥
Love this product! I designed our fireplace and had it fabricated to the specs of this pan. I ordered 40 pounds of aqua colored fire rock to fill it perfectly. Couldn’t be more happy on how it turned out. Biggest TIP: omit the aerator part they give you if you are attaching to natural gas. I used .125 aluminum to skin out the frame of the fireplace and painted it in a Matthews automotive finish. We left the side/ bottoms open so the fireplace surround itself does not get hot. Took about 5 mins to hook up. The only part I had to buy was a hose (male on one end / female on the other) and then a fitting to make the male end a female to attach to my natural gas line) all found at Lowe’s. My only suggestion to the manufacturers would be make the igniter shorter so it’s flush with the burner. When you mount the Igniter to the bottom of the pan it sticks up way too high to spark a flame for the gas.

Yes sir ree Bob this is the bomb
Here at the city headquarters it was time to install some glass rocks in the trusty fire pit. So, I bought some glass fire rock and started removing the old volcanic rock and crumbling fire logs. Turns out my trusty fire pit was in reality a rusty fire pit and needed a new pan. This was the ticket. My wife and I tore the old one apart and using what was left of the pan marked the holes we needed to drill in order to match the mounting holes. That stainless steel is tough. Good thing I had some mustard for the drill bits.this was the only modification I had to make. The valve mounting bracket wasn't an exact fit but it worked just fine for me. I took some small jack chain and a couple of key rings and made a valve key keeper so it is right where I need it. The pit looks better than new and we are extremely pleased. Fit perfectly in the opening and looks and works fantastic.

Wife loves it!
The metal seems to be very high quality but I’ve only had it a couple of weeks now. The overall assembly was very easy except I made two minor mistakes... first I put the aerator on in the wrong direction... so I had very small flame and a lot of gas smell. So I reversed it and the flames were a bit higher but nothing like the picture. That’s when I realized (and re-read the directions) and found the aerator is only needed for when propane is used. I had ran natural gas so since I removed the aerator, it worked perfectly. I really liked that it had all the parts needed (both propane and natural gas connectors/hoses). Also, don’t forget to add the battery in the starter. I used this insert in a poured concrete table (Michael Builds on YouTube has a great video on how to do it.)

Plastic control knob stripped first time used, no info on how to replace
Product finally works fairly well after lots of guesswork and tinkering as instructions are worthless. Plastic control knob stripped right out of the box because the valve was stuck tight with no information on how to deal with it. Finally after some WD-40 got the valve open, but still stiff and no useable knob. Have been searching for hours and hours for the right replacement knob but nowhere to be found on the Grisun page and no customer service contact information. Grrrrrr . . . . .

Good buy for replacement of old fire pit burner box
I read the reviews and this item had quite a few good ones and some I don’t understand, especially flame height. This is where I decided to set ours but it can go much higher. I also put a wind screen around it and notice it does interfere with warmth of fire reaching out further around the table . I may remove. When our fire pit burner rotted out over the years we considered buying new . That was until I saw how hard it was to find a 42 inch by 42 inch table pit . And when I found something similar in size it was 1500 and more . I replaced the old with this from Amazon along with wind screen and rocks for just over a couple hundred bucks. We’re happy !

High Quality, Easy to Assemble
Finished construction of our fire pit table. Easy assembly & perfect addition to our patio, when the weather gets cooler. Overall height is 24" with rollers. Used 3/4" Melamine for top, 2"x3" frame, Hardie board to enclose frame. Needed 30 lbs of large Fire Glass for best coverage of fire rings, plan to add 18"x18"x6" wind guard.
