Initially skeptical now Totally Converted!!!
I got my Nebia a few days ago, and I must say I am very impressed. It was my boyfriend who was really looking forward to it- I was skeptical to say the least, and was not very excited to have my shower routine interfered with…. Packaging: You can see these guys put a lot of love and intention in packing. The marketing/story book is lovely and the install kit is quite straightforward. They pack the product to make it as easy as possible for the user, and so you can take things out step by step. Installation: This was one of the most surprising parts of our new Nebia, it actually is self-installable, and you really don’t need a plumber. The instructions are pretty easy and they have a nice video which takes you step by step through the whole process, so that even someone like me (for whom Ikea’s “some assembly required” is quite terrifying) was able to put it all together without any major mishaps. The hardest part was probably just unscrewing my old shower head which was beginning to stick to the wall because of the rusting. After that it was just measuring the hole (with a special tool they give you), inserting like a little cap, and then just plugging in the shower! I also thought the magnet thing for the wand was pretty cool. The product: I actually like the physical product much more than I thought I would. Online it looked a bit “techy” but it actually just feels clean and sleek. The neutral colors also make it work with any color bathroom. Overall I think it gives my not-so-glamorous bathroom a serious look and feel upgrade. The experience: I was not at all a shower enthusiast (more like a get-the-shower-out-of-the-way person) and so I was not expecting to have many comments on the experience. I was wrong. First of all, I have long (mid-back length) wavy hair and had no issue at all getting the shampoo out. The feeling while rinsing is a little different but it worked just fine. Having tried other low-flow shower heads I was expecting a similar feeling, but it was so different. Usually low-flow means a tiny stream of lukewarm water and I was not at all looking forward to that (especially now that we are moving into winter) but this actually felt like A LOT of water. I totally get now what they say about feeling like you are enveloped in a warm cloud. That is exactly what it feels like. I also love how much you can adjust the wand (with the pretty clever magnetic thing) and the shower… as someone who is pretty short, it makes a big difference. The one thing I would like to see is to be able to use just the wand without the shower head…maybe in the next version? My shower is an open tub with a curtain around it and I was somewhat worried because I had heard that it was better (warmer) in a closed stall and that if it was not enclosed it got the bathroom super wet. For the first one- My shower is actually really warm. The mist that escapes the shower actually heats up the whole bathroom (its fairly small), which is something I now love because I don’t have to step out from the warm shower to the freezing bathroom, it is all a similar temperature. Which takes me to point 2- some mist does escape (making everything warmer). While we have not personally had any puddles it does leave everything in the bathroom with a morning dew like layer even after short showers (Note: it is important to make sure the curtain goes ALL the way around the shower). Overall: While I did feel the price was a bit steep for a showerhead, comparing it with other “luxury” showerheads you realize that while some might have a nice design they really are exactly the same mechanism as any other normal shower. Nebia is the only one that does seem to be doing something different- the clever user-centered design, the adjustability (showerhead, wand, “strength mode”) the fact that it is self installing (saving you about 150$ from calling the plumber) and personally the fact that I really am using much much less water (and energy) makes it worth it. I hope they come up with a more affordable version in the near future- the world is in serious need!

Takes getting use to, questionable on cleaning lower body
This product has plenty of pros but significant cons, as well. My house has a constant pressure system set for 70 PSI, a hot water recirculator on a timer, and a water heater temperature of 125, higher than I would prefer but necessary to stay warm using this shower. The system did install easily and the directions made sense. The head easily slides up and down and my major concern, getting shampoo out of thicker hair, simply isn't an issue -- the shower works fine for that (note that I used the higher flow rate mode). I live in a colder climate where bathroom air temperature is 65-68. Turning on the shower I quickly found I needed to set the control valve to full hot, and everywhere but my head was cool as the micro-particles of water lose their heat very rapidly to the air. After 3-4 minutes it started to get comfortable, because the water heated the air and stopped losing as much heat to the air. Moving the unit too close was painful as the water comes out hard, and this was a major issue with the hand sprayer, which must be used to properly rinse/clean from the waist down. Holding the prayer far enough away that it wasn't somewhat painful resulted in a relatively cool rinse. Bringing it close was too hot as well as painful and since the same temperature control runs both, cooling the hand sprayer made the upper unit too cold.

Great shower, installation wasn’t as easy as advertised
Yes it takes a bit of getting used to, but the amount of water used in a shower is significant. Only cons for me are: installation wasn’t as easy (yes came with many parts but in my case the install came out a little funky on the connection to existing piping and the adhesive on the back eventual unglued from the surround).

Buyer Beware
For the price and my experience, I was deeply unsatisfied with this purchase. I, like a lot of other reviews, really wanted to like this product, and I was very excited when I purchased this gift for my girlfriend while away for work for several months. Unfortunately, she was not able to install it despite the easy installation instructions. When I returned, I made it one of the first projects I tackled as I was excited to show her what a great shower this was based on the reviews and promotion I saw on avclub.com as part of a Kinja deal. The instructions were helpful and straightforward until it got to actually mounting the shower head to the wall. I just could not get it to install--the same problem my girlfriend ran into. I watched several YouTube videos--including those from Nebia on how to install--and it just would not "click" and I still had "red" on the indicator. I E-mailed customer support and I awaited a response. Meanwhile, I went back to trying to get it to "click." Only by essentially attempting to insert at a 135 degree angle was I able to get it to click in. After it was installed, I was able to quickly finish installation. After I finished installation, I received an E-mail from this customer support suggesting I try to click it in at an angle. Everything took about two-three hours. As far as looks, I was disappointed. First, the shower head is plastic, and I thought it looked cheap. This was a significant investment (I paid $500.00 in December 2017) and it is fairly large in your shower. Something that large with that much plastic made it somewhat aesthetically unappealing. The wand portion had a good weight to it and the slider worked very well. The magnet worked very well too. As far as function, I have a fairly large shower and I do not think this is designed for a large shower due to the spray dissipating and cooling very quickly. With my previous shower head, it took about a minute to heat up the water. The Spa Shower took roughly 3-5 minutes to heat up (likely due to the water conservation). Unfortunately, I had to keep the water temperature as I high I could make it (this would be scalding hot with the previous shower head) in order to keep the water spraying at an adequate temperature. The water droplets needed to be relatively close to your head and body in order to make it effective and warm. At any other distance, the water was chilly. When it was close to my head or body, it was fine--but not great. I gave it about a week and I did not have any problems with cleaning off soap or shampoo. One of the sprayers also stopped functioning correctly, but it fixed itself on its own--it had sprayed in a stream at a 45 degree angle instead a mist straight down. Ultimately, I just never got the "luxury" experience that I paid for. It was only after I used another shower in my house with the same shower head that I had before that I realized I was not satisfied with my purchase. It just wasn't that great, especially after all the grief with installation, the malfunctioning sprayer, and the price. De-installation was quick and easy though. I did run into some problems returning the product with Amazon, but they were quickly rectified. Nebia has been great in wanting to learn why I had a negative experience--which I greatly appreciate. I think this product can work very well for some, but not at all for others.

Perfect for us.
1st the set up - took my wife and I about a half hour to install which is about what I expected based on reading reviews and watching install videos on YouTube. Product is packaged great in order to get it to your home in perfect shape. Now my set up - we have an on demand tankless hot water heater with a recirculating pump so that we have instant hot water when the pump is running. All that being said we could not be happier with the new shower it works perfectly for us. Plenty of water flow (hot), really can’t believe we are using so much less water, honestly feels like we’re using more. Not sure why there are negative reviews which is why I wanted to list how our set up is. Not sure if that makes a difference or not? Great product.

not as impressive as they advertise it
I bought this shower head not only because of the water savings but the whole "experience" from the nozzles. Well like many other reviews, unless you have a closed shower things get very drafty. I live in Michigan and I have glass panels in two sides and solid walls on the other two. Still I don't use this shower during the cold months. Which is a waste of money since this was installed in the master bathroom. I should have bought a different set up.

It takes a little while to determine which settings are best with this shower but since I figured that out ...
There is a little bit of a learning curve with this shower. It takes a little while to determine which settings are best with this shower but since I figured that out it has been great. My kids love it too especially my nine year old due to being able to adjust the shower head down to his liking. I have found the best way to set up the shower to avoid it being too cold on the lower half of my body is to turn on the hot water only and let it run. I also turn on the body spray and face it towards my waist. With this set up the shower is very comfortable and warm. It is important to make sure that the showerhead is not too close to your head when you wash your hair and rinse the soap out. It was very easy to install. Lots of mist everywhere in the bathroom due to nebia being installed over a bathtub with a sliding glass door but about 3 feet of open space above the glass door. I recommend not turning on the vent fan until after you are done with the shower and having the bathroom door completely closed while showering so no cold air gets in the bathroom. Probably still using less water than my 2.5 gal/min showerhead and a better experience.

Don't waste your money - Buyer Beware
I really enjoyed my Nebia. Easy install, nice shower experience. It was great - for about 8 months. Then the frustration set in. I noticed the wand was leaking a large amount of water. I contacted their customer service to get a warranty replacement, however, I was told I need to pay $59 plus shipping for a new wand because I didn't purchase it from an "authorized seller". I purchased it as a new in box (with original packing tape intact) on eBay for over $400 in September 2017. I'm well within their one year warranty. I pointed out to their customer service that their own website says (this was cut and pasted off their website yesterday into an email to customer service) "Every Nebia Shower System is backed by a 1-year warranty covering all manufacturing defects from the time you receive your order. Additionally, we offer a 30-day money back guarantee (excluding shipping). If you are not satisfied for any reason, please email our support team, and we'll handle the rest!" They responded that they do stand behind their product, but it's "standard business practice" to not cover items sold by "unauthorized retailers" and they have gone to the length of updating their website so it now states this in the warranty section. It makes me wonder if they just invented this policy because of me. The thing is that if I buy an iPhone from someone and it's within a year of its purchase, it's still under warranty. If I buy a car from someone after they had it for a year, its still under warranty. Their argument of "standard business practice" doesn't hold up. Nebia likes to make you feel like you are getting a cutting-edge quality product from a company you can count on. They are quick to point out that Tim Cook has backed the company, but they are decidedly un-Apple. Don't trust that they will support this product when it breaks. I think you will be as disappointed as I have become. Save your money!
