impossible to read in sunlight . I noticed a couple other reviewers had the same problem. even when backlight set at 100%. Others say no problem. Does this vary with different units...or has it been corrected with newer ones? I've only had this a week. It 's great, and price is right, if only I could read it in sunshine. No contact info for the company. I'd like if they'd send me a different receiver. Hello, are you out there?

Absolute junk

Make it useless, due too impossible see anything on screen during the sunny day. screen too dark.

How do I open to cover on the sensor to charge?

You are unable to see the screen while outdoors. Screen display is great in my living room at night. I need to make a bag or box I can stick my head in to, along with the receiver, so it will block the sunlight from the display screen. This is really bad. Buy it only if you can find an indoor fishing spot. Maybe I’ll try it for night fishing. The back light is set to 100% so please don’t suggest to increase / decrease the back light.

Pretty mediocre. Screen not bright enough for outdoor use and the depth finder keeps showing fish at 5 feet down. Wouldn’t bother with it

Very simple to use, cool to hear sonar that fish are under the ice fishing hole instead of just wishful thinking. Make sure the black ball is tighten as far as it will go, very tight otherwise water will seep in. after doing a lot of research I'm happy with my purchase.

This portable fish finder so far is pretty decent (according to my husband). Simple to set up and use, and seems to work well for what it's meant to do. My husband said that battery life does die rather quickly though, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

very hard to see in sunlight, and the charge only lasts about 2 hours, like the idea, but a little disappointed.

It did not work properly for me. The person beside me was using a high-end sonar and they were getting different readings in depth. This particular sonar fishfinder was not good at all wouldn’t waste my money.👎👎👎

Remember to turn off the simulation mode.

This finder will NOT work for ice fishing, it might be possible with the ice so thin that it's dangerous to be on..... Long story short, don't buy this finder for ice fishing, very dissapointed!
