Ziploc VersaGlass Container, Variety Pack, 3-Count

Over the last year we have replaced all of our plastic containers with glass. This is our third brand to try. I chose to try it based on a amazon promotion for amazon moms. The price was great, they nest inside of each other for easy storage, and I like the colored lids because we have many different containers, so the lids are easy to find in our cabinet. I packed the mid-size container to bring on an outing with the kids. I was sitting on the ground at the edge of a playground with the now empty container on my lap. It slide off of my lap and fell maybe a few inches at which point it shattered into hundreds of pieces that scattered into the sand! I have dropped our other containers on a several occasions and none of them have shattered. So, I will use the other two and will be much more careful. I have not had any issues with the pyrex containers (though the lids are not that great), can recommend the Kinetic Glasslock containers  Kinetic Go Green GlassLock 1332 17-Ounce Square Glass Food-Storage Containers with Locking Lids, Set of 3  and our favorite thus far are the ones made by anchor hocking  Anchor Hocking 10-Piece TrueSeal Storage Set ! These are fine for the price, just be careful!

I love how these are made and the look of them. The lids are pretty tricky to get off and after one use are not air tight.

I have had these storage containers for about a month and really love them. They are indeed versatile. I haven't used them to freeze yet but have for storage and heating. Though the directions say you can lay the top on the container but not seal it while in the microwave, I don't because I got some staining on the lid from tomato sauce. Plastic wrap adheres just fine though. I like the visibility of the containers especially when storing leftovers.

For a couple of years I have used assorted plastic tupperware--some reusable and some not so much. For almost as long, I've been consistently frustrated by the difficulty of cleaning them. No matter how many times I scrubbed, it seemed like oil or other grease just didn't want to come off.Finding these glass alternatives--at a very affordable price--has been fantastic. Sure, they're heavier than the plastic alternatives but they're SO much easier to clean. The lids fit snuggly and I'm never worried about them popping open when I throw them in my bag in the morning. Plus, I have no reservations about microwaving them--there are no plastics that can leach into my food.Really high quality offering from Ziploc. Ended up purchasing a number of other containers in some of the other sizes. I highly recommend them.

Ok, these are pretty worthless. If you need something air tight this will not work for you. The lid is plastic feeling not rubber so it just sets on and doesn't seal. I tried pushing down hard in the center and it instantly re-inflates. I put them in warm water thinking it may soften and form better at the seal. Nothing works. I put water in and turned it over and it just all pours out around the entire edge.

Picked these up as a Gold Box Deal & they are good. I bought them as the (seemingly) thousands of plastic containers have either 1. become scratched and warped over the months of use or 2. have told their lids to move out. These lids are substantial & fit well; I doubt I will be losing them in the back of a cabinet. The glass is thick. The three sizes will cover just about anything I have left over that's not going to stay in the original pot. Easy to take to work for lunches, too. The dishwasher cleans them well. A good purchase.

Clearly there is marked quality control issues with this product. The middle-size of this set I just tried has one corner of the glass that doesn't even come close to being able to apply the word 'seal' to (don't even get me started on 'lock'); I rotate the square lid and each time there's what could only be described as a gap through which liquid will course, always on the same corner of glass.Another review said they were told by customer service to, "Push really, really hard" to get the lid to seal. For this item, I'd have to push so hard I would break the glass to get this even close to sealing. Fortunately I bought it at target so don't have to repack & ship but regardless, the set is going back tomorrow. I will buy the Rubbermaid equivalent, since they at least seem to know a thing or two about sealing containers. Ziplock should stick to bags ... but hey, I suppose effectively sealing three edges of a recloseable container could be considered a vast improvement over making the blue & red turn purple on a SINGLE edge.

I'm really happy with my VersaGlass purchases. The glass is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. I have frequently taken a dish of leftovers from the refrigerator and moved directly to the oven or microwave to reheat. If using the oven, I remove the plastic cover and replace with aluminum foil. For the microwave, I frequently just lift a corner open to vent steam.
