Fist of the North Star: Kenshiro Land of Asura Action Figure

I'm a longtime customer of Revoltech figures. Also, A long time fan of Fist of the North Star. This is the ultimate Kenshiro figure. He has everything a dedicated fan or newcomer could want. Plenty of accessories, extra hands and limbs, and ridiculous articulation means you can reproduce any moment from the series. Truly, this is a piece of art. The details are great, the sculpts are amazing, for their size. They are for display and collecting, mainly. Wouldn't buy one for a kid, but it is truly a great figure. Buy it. Seriously. Now. Buy it now.

The size of the figure is what kept it from being a perfect five stars in my book. Looking at pictures online, I assumed the figure was the size of most Marvel Legends or DC Direct figures, however in actuality it a little shorter than the standard 6 inch figures. Being a Revoltech figure this action figure comes with the standard multiple heads, arms, etc. which is cool. And on the flip side being a Revoltech figure it must be noted that after a while with multiple movements the joints become loose and start to fall apart. I brought my girlfriend a Revoltech figure a few years back and she brought another herself and these issues happened to both, and she wasn't hard on these figures at all. After a while they just get weak, so while they are noted for their pose-ability limited it will make your figures last longer. So bottom line very cool detail and battle pose options. Downside kind of small, and joints weaken after a while.

This model here depicts Kenshiro in his costume from the second story arc, that is after Raoh's defeat.The model is very well made and one is able to tell the high quality of it just by looking at it through the box. This figure, without doubt, resembles Kenshiro to a great extent. Another amazing thing about this figure is that different parts of the model are given different texture treatments and you can tell Kenshiro's leather clothing from the flesh. I was into action model buying before I bought this item and this is one of the finest models I have purchased.This product also contains an exchangable head, one pair of exchangable arms, a spiked stick, and several hands. The figure is highly posable too. One is able to pose it into alot of poses Kenshiro did in the manga and anime.The downside of this item is that it is very expansive, in fact I say it's very overpriced (I bought this figure when it was around $30, and now it's over $60). Despite of it's relatively good durablity, this figure is not unbreakable and you can mess up the joints if you exchange Kenshiro's different body parts too many times (though I have not reached it's limit, but the joints have gotten looser). There appeared to be some instructions on how to fix the joint problems on the box, but unless you can read Japanese, the instructions are useless to you. I would buy this item and set it up in the pose I want and leave it as it is.All in all however, if you don't mind the amount of money spent on this figure and can fix the joint problem, this model deserves a perfect score.

Well, here we have it. Revoltech Revolution Kenshiro, in his outfit from the second arc of Fist Of The North Star. Now, admittedly, I haven't quite made it to that part of the story, but I know Kenshiro when i see him and the likeness here is spot on. He looks exactly like he does in the manga, with the stoic face and sharp eyes. the paint apps are nicely done with no slop anywhere. This version of Kenshiro is also different as he comes with an alternate head that has him wearing goggles (I assume the Land Of Asura is a desert) and alternate arms that can have him sleeveless (as he most often appears). Additionally, he comes with a spiked club and four sets of hands (with and without gloves), so the display options for him are numerous. Personally, I find this Kenshiro to be ideal. he's not as expensive (yet) as the standard Kenshiro or the Musou Version, and he comes with interchangable parts to make him look like two different Kenshiros. He makes a worthy addition to any Fist Of The North Star collection. If you don't have Kenshiro yet, this is a great choice to go for. If you do have him already, it wouldn't hurt to skip this one, but it wouldn't hurt (your wallet too badly) to pick him up either.
