Vintage Military Leather Canvas Laptop Bag Messenger Bags Medium

Ive been eyeing this bag for about a month and i finally decided to splurge and get it and im so happy i did!!! Unfortunately i greatly underestimated its size 😅 i wanted this as a daily bag but the large size bag is huge! Now i use it for an overnight bag and it holds multiple outfits, pjs, hair and hygiene products, meds, literally everything! Even the little zipper pocket inside fits my switch lite perfectly 😭 this bag feels so durable im not worried about any damage at all and it looks and feels extremely high quality! For the price it is it’s absolutely worth every penny and now im considering buying a smaller size for everyday use

I got this bag back in the end of 2023, I believe. And it is my favorite bag ever, it’s very big and durable. It’s not ripped or frayed or anything, very nice bag, I would buy another.

I originally bought this bag as a laptop/work/travel bag. While it was OK for that, keeping all my odds and ends organized inside the large main compartment was enough of a chore that I decided to replace it with an LA Police Gear Jumbo Bail Out Bag. The good: -This bag will hold a relatively large (15") laptop, a tablet, a Nalgene bottle, and a bunch of other odds and ends with room to spare. -It will fit under an airplane seat and is relatively comfortable to carry. I added a Hazard 4 shoulder strap pad that made it much more comfortable with a heavy load in it, but that eventually migrated to my LA Police Gear bag. The existing strap is fine if you're not carrying around 20-25 pounds of assorted crap. -This bag looks pretty good. I'm so sick of tactical/MOLLE/PALS crap that I could barf into my shoes. -One of the large side pouches will hold a 32 oz. Nalgene bottle, though the top will stick out. It won't fall out and is held pretty securely. The bad: -As delivered, this bag had a strong smell of some chemical. Smells like a phosphorus compound of some kind, no doubt a dye or some other manufacturing chemical. I had to wash it twice to dampen the smell, and it's still not gone. I've had this happen with China-sourced garments before. It will go away eventually, but it's moderately annoying until it does. -After the second washing, a seam started to unravel at the bottom. I restitched it with coarse canvas thread that should hold, and I don't see any other spots unraveling. I'm not too worried about it. -It's also not a good idea to wash this bag, especially with the leather straps and accents. After the bag dried, I treated all the leather with neatsfoot oil. The leather darkened somewhat (still looks fine) and is now more supple. -This bag would benefit from a carry handle so that you can haul it around like a briefcase. I'm nitpicking here, but it would be nice. In short, this is a very nice bag if you just need a big satchel to dump a bunch of stuff into for the day. It survived a somewhat rough-and-tumble trip to Mexico while loaded down with a laptop and a bunch of gear. The last time I used it, it hauled a DSLR camera with spare lens, a book, 64 oz. water bottle, light jacket, and a few more odds and ends. Tons of room to spare and it kept everything close at hand. I'd buy another, just not for (my) work.

I use it for college and work. It fits my laptop, notebooks, and other random stuff. It has held up well and shows little wear considering the amount of time I have been using it for. The price is fair, and I feel like I even got more than I bargained for. The weight distribution is great and I can carry heavy loads with no problem. Plus, I feel aesthetic! :)

I was excited to get this bag - in fact I ordered it in 2 sizes (Small & Medium). Goal was a bag to store camera/binos, water, light jacket on excursions/safari. The look is great, but the manufacturer really missed the opportunity to create a stellar bag as far as actual use goes. 1) Side pockets are very small and none of my water bottles (even the smallest ones) fit. I'm not sure you would even get a 12 oz disposable water bottle into this tiny pocket. I don't know what the manufacturer thought would get stored there!. The side pouches should be sized for standard SS water bottles. 2) There is NO TOP HANDLE! Bizarrely, they elected to put the grab handle in the center of the back of the bag. Its a really strange place for a handle! I don't know what they were thinking... The construction seems solid, it has a rugged, vaguely old military 'bush safari' look - if these design flaws were corrected, it would make a great 'man bag'... But unfortunately its almost useless, unless many mental compromises are made (Like putting your water bottle in with a camera) As far as size goes, the 'Small' is plenty big for the uses I envisioned. It's a shame it won't hold water bottles, or that it lacks a top handle. I most likely will send them both back.

No proper packing, hardware all old. With this hefty price in was expecting a better quality. Returned it.

Not a fan of the magnetic buttons but because it is really cosmetic thing and the other buttons actually provide the security to the pouches. But hey that’s me. Other than that the bag is just what I wanted, a bag for an old ex service man, a military looking bag where I can keep my hearing aids, classes, medication and of course the wallet with a thousand cards or so. Cards that now tell me that I am past it, seniors card, Army retirement card and let’s not forget the automobile gold card that tells you by the colour you have been a member for a lifetime. Now you can see why I carry my medication with me.

I essentially bought this to be a camera bag cum daypack and put it to test on the road. The volume inside was a little smaller than I had expected if you have a camera , a spare lens and a couple of books packed in. However you get to economise and learn to use the space. The bag is good for rough use and is a good buy. The price point needs to come down drastically.. this felt overpriced.
