Mantis 3222 Power Tiller Border Edger Attachment for Gardening (Attachment Only)

It was easy to assemble, started right up and worked well in raised beds and on rough areas where I will be planting new grass seed. For those who have never used a tiller be mindful that when the tines hit rocks or hard surfaces they "run" over them, thus forcing you to pull back on the handles with a good deal of force. All tillers do this, and once in a while rocks get caught between the tines and jam them. Of course this happened with the Mantis but this little machine is a beast turning hard clay clumpy soil into small workable particles of dirt. Pulling it backwards works just as well as going forwards though you do need to be careful or you will dig down too deeply or send soil over the sides of the bed. I had no problem with the off button being on the handlebar. The kickstand works well, and the carry handle is conveniently placed for easy pick ups. I have not used the edger yet.

After purchasing a new Mantis tiller (after 25 years of use for my first one), I purchased a new edger attachment for it. First use was edging the driveway and sidewalk and gave very nice results. So nice to have a straight, clean edge there. On a future use, I plan to outline a new bed in the yard to install rubber edging there. Seller's service was great. I think it arrived a day early!

If you have a Mantis tiller and a yard that borders a sidewalk, this is worth the price. If you have to buy an edger with a metal blade or used a manual edger you will obviously see the value. I find that it works best going backwards or dragging it instead of holding it back or pushing. Simple easy off and on tool less change from the tilling blades. Makes the Mantis tiller that more versatile and valuable.

Got the Honda engine. Starts easy every time and enough power to perform most garden tasks. The edging kit I bought separately is a huge asset. Light weight and easy to store with fold down handle.

Ive used this edger attachment for a year as of 6/2021. This attachment is 100x better than my weed whip edging attachment. Great product that is super a simple design and works. It's very quick to change from tiller to edger attachment. Feels like the mantis offers way more power than needed to run the edger attachment which means it NEVER bogs down even on sidewalks that have been neglected for a year or two. Highly recommend!

I've been using a Mantis Tiller for almost 25 years. During that time, I was manually edging with a half-moon edger. It was very time consuming and being in my early 70's, I wanted time to do other things. So earlier this summer we decided to purchase the edging attachment for our Mantis hoping it would save time and leave a nice clean edge. I've used it once on about seventy feet of one bed out of many beds and was amazed at how much time it saved, how easy it was to use, and the clean 3-4 inch deep edge it left. It even went around the 90 degree rounded curve with ease leaving a clean, deep edge. I now feel confident we will get all our beds nicely edged before the end of summer. Well worth the investment!

Worthless piece of junk. Stick with using your string trimmer it will work better than this cheap piece of junk. Watch the videos on YouTube and you will see why I say it is worthless. I wish I had watched them before purchasing.
