Excellent for remote work
I've had my MuteMe for a couple of years now and highly recommend to anyone in my (now common) situation of working from home with other people around. I set specific colors to indicate whether I'm in a meeting and a flashing pattern when my mic is active. The USB-C cord that connects it to my computer is 3' long, which allows me to keep it prominently displayed on my desk where anyone coming into my office can see it.Three things I appreciate about it: It's much easier to mute/unmute myself by tapping the MuteMe button than it was finding the right button within the Teams meeting interface; it's a quick signal to me as to whether I'm muted so I don't talk while on mute; and it's an obvious signal to family members. The MuteMe software interface is easy to use. I've only had to use it the two times I've installed it from scratch (on my original computer and a replacement computer). Links to instructions specific to configuring Teams and other meeting software are provided. I really appreciate that.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Game-Changer for Remote Meetings
I’ve been working remotely for a few years now, and the MuteMe button has quickly become one of my favorite desktop tools. It does exactly what it promises, lets you mute and unmute yourself with a simple touch, and gives you a bright visual indicator of your mic status. What I like:Instant Feedback: The light is bright and easy to see. I never wonder whether I’m muted during a call anymore.Touch Sensitivity: The capacitive touch works well, even with light taps. No need to press hard.Cross-platform: I use Zoom, Teams, and Meet, and it integrates with all of them once you install the software.Design: Sleek, compact, and doesn’t clutter my desk.A couple things to note:You do need to install the free software for it to work, but it was quick and straightforward on both Windows and Mac.If you're switching between multiple meeting apps often, make sure you have the right profile selected in the software.Overall, it's a simple idea executed really well. It makes video calls less stressful and more professional, no more accidental unmuted moments!Would I recommend it?Absolutely, especially if you're in and out of meetings all day. It's a small investment with a big productivity (and sanity) payoff.

Very Useful Peripheral Mute/Unmute Button
If you spend a lot of time on Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet calls during your work day and are juggling applications all over your screen/s, this mute button is can be very handy. This button allows you to not have to navigate to the call window to mute/unmute.The software is pretty easy to setup and they have a lot of resources to help you along the way. Their FAQ section is incredibly comprehensive. The software sits in the background and you can even close out of the window while continuing to use the button. The button itself feels worth the money. It is a stainless steel looking/feeling capacitive touch 'button'. It has never misregistered a touch when there wasnt one or missed a touch of the button that I intended.Overall, if you are looking for a physical mute/unmute button, I think this is a great option.

works great but a bit buggy and can be improved
works great. but it is not plug and play. you need the app always on for this to work. once in a while, even i have the app open, it does not pick up so i need to restart the thing. i wish it worked with tablets as i use my ipad more on travel meetings. their cust service replies fast for questions. recommended

Why doesn't everyone have this?
“Dude! You’re on mute!!”How many times has that happened in a video call? Or more accurately—when has it not happened? It’s a common and surprisingly tricky problem. Are you muted in Zoom? On your computer? Your headset? Good luck figuring it out mid-meeting.Enter MuteMe—a simple USB device that lights up red when you’re muted, and green when you’re not. Tap it to toggle mute. That’s it. Instant clarity. No more guessing. No more awkward “you’re muted” moments. The team behind MuteMe nailed it. They took a universal annoyance and solved it in an elegant, idiot-proof way.Highly recommended for anyone who’s ever been embarrassed on a video call. (So... basically all of us.)
