This is a great alarm clock. The red numbers are very easy to read and do not brighten the room like other colors. The auto-set is a great feature.The speaker isn’t great though so if you want this for listening to music it’s not a great choice.

My daughter wanted a clock/radio/alarm that could use the radio as the alarm. This unit has that plus almost all the other features that I would expect a 21st century clock/radio/alarm to have: date&time, multi-timezone, auto-DST changing, radio with pre-sets, act as a bluetooth speaker, USB port for charging devices, battery backup for settings, radio sleep timer and dimmable red display (blue ruins dark adaption and is disruptive to circadian rhythm - no idea why so many companies make clocks with glaring blue displays). There is only one feature missing - auto time sync to the NIST WWVB atomic clock broadcast. This clock seemed to be the best compromise as the ones that support the WWVB broadcast were generally missing at least two of the other features. As a stretch it would be nice if one could download WAV files to the clock to use as alarm tones, but I haven't seen any that seem to do that yet. Setting up the clock is not too difficult, but a couple extra buttons on the top of the clock to avoid all the press-and-hold combo's would have made things much nicer. But overall, it is doing almost everything that I would expect a clock/radio/alarm to do these days and while some of the settings are a bit awkward, one does not generally have to go through that operation more than once.

Also great that this clock has battery backup for the alarm times, radio stations. Time auto set is awesome...I'm tired of resetting the clock after a power outage that last longer than a 9 volt battery supplies in a typical alarm clock. This clock uses a small coin style battery that only retains the alarm times, and radio stations so appears to stretch battery life. I like that there is no transformer hum in the clock because the transformer is located at the wall plug.Negative is that the radio doesn't get quiet enough. The lowest volume setting is to loud for me as other have said.....to fall asleep to like i'd like. I ended up researching and found I could place a small ohm resister in line with the speaker to lower the total range of the volume. I tried a few different things and ended up with a ohm value I liked. Another negative is the buttons on this clock is how confusing they are.... for instance trying to tune to a preset takes reading the manual. I can't help but think the clock could have used a few more button to reduce the complexity of simple operations (check the alarm time and dates, tune to a preset station). In addition the buttons are "Cheapy" feeling. The base rubber mounts could also use a upgrade to a 5 cent rubber mount on all 4 corners so the alarm clock doesn't teeter when pressing buttons :( ugh .. Should you buy it yeah its nice but who did the test trails of this alarm clock?

Works as advertised and the auto time setting/restore is a great feature.Somewhere, I read that the radio alarm will not work if there is a power outage, even with the battery backup. This is misleading. It is true that the RADIO alarm will not sound and play MUSIC at the time you set the alarm if there is a power outage. But it does have a buzzer that it defaults to during a power outage (I assume because a buzzer uses much less of the backup battery power). So when the time comes, a buzzer WILL sound and wake you instead of the radio even if the power is out (as long as you have a working battery in it). And yes, I personally tested this as it was important to me and I would have returned it if it didn't work during a power outage. Also, all settings return to what you last set once power is restored.Brightness is perfect (for me). I like it dim and the dimmest setting is perfect and can still be seen during daylight. My eyes are 8" from the readout at night and the dim setting does not bother me, whereas all my previous alarms were too bright.I found the sound of the radio more than satisfactory for what this is (don't expect hi-fi) and the reception better than my previous radio alarm.I agree with another reviewer that the setting controls are less than intuitive but the instructions are complete and not complicated if you take a few minutes to read them. After a few months, if I need to change settings, then I do need to refer to the instructions again (which are a bit tiny for my old eyes), but that's not a major issue. I just photographed the instructions pages and store it on my computer and phone and can refer to it and magnify portions as needed. Easy-peasy.Overall, the positives (auto restore of the time and other settings once power is restored, large display, perfect brightness settings, reliable alarm and battery backup alarm, good sound/reception for the price) far outweigh the one negative (have to spend more than 2 minutes reading the instructions and you do have to read the instructions to understand how to work this). Would buy this again without hesitation.

While the rest of the functionality of the Alarm Clock worked great, the sound quality for the Radio is absolutely horrible. how can they have a really good speaker in a tiny Google Home Mini while this bigger Alarm Clock has the worst speaker ever... I want to be woken up by Music or the News but instead I'll be woken up by high pitch unclear noises (there's no Bass) as i try to figure out what song is playing...

I had to manually set the time and date (I know fml). With loss of power the date and time reset incorrectly.

After 2 weeks the snooze stopped working. The alarm started going off in the middle of the night at a time that it was not set to. I am returning this alarm clock.

I like this Radio Alarm Clock. As I expected time automatically adjusted with radio control. No issues

The item looks good. Programs time on plug in. Setup is difficult. Must maintain setup sheet for future changes. Not user friendly.
