5 Qt Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl

This stainless steel mixing bowl is exactly what I was looking for. I have a 13qt stainless steel mixing bowl that I had been using for preparing homemade organic/gluten free breakfast sausage. To give you an idea of the amount in the recipe: 3-1/2 lbs ground meat, 16 lbs apples diced, about 24 oz bread crumbs, about 16 oz of my own dry spice mixture and about a cup of avocado oil. I was struggling to get it properly mixed in the 13qt bowl because it filled it right to the top. This 20qt version is just what I needed - you can see that there is sufficient space to mix everything without it falling out over the edge. The stainless steel is excellent quality and it's not too heavy when empty. It is huge and one must be creative when finding storage. I showed photo in dishwasher just to show that it fits; although I did wash by hand. Notice the sticker is on the bottom and not inside the bowl. Highly recommended for big batch processing!!

Wow...... this thing is gargantuan 😲. If people are winning about it ignore them... they’re probably having a bad day. I’ll probably have to store this under my bed it’s so freaking big! The one picture is with my almost 6 year old. I wanted a big bowl to rise bread dough in because I do 4 loaves at a time. This will definitely fit any amount of dough that I’ll need! Very happy with with this purchase! 🤗. Update several years later 🤣: so my opinion now on them is they're a bit thin but for the price I think they're good quality. I have 2, 20 qt and 16 qt bowls from this same company because I wanted to make sure they were similar in shape so I could stack them easily. Honestly I prefer the 16 qt because it's still very large and can probably fit 2 home grown chickens (so large chickens) in it. Although I can fit the 16 qt in my sink whereas I can't the 20 qt. Hope that helps! I like giving these as wedding gifts because it's unique and there's always a need for a huge bowl at some point!

Excellent for mixing everything, i use this bowl to mix large amounts of rice & beans with organic greens. I use this for food prep for large amounts of food, when i have many guests or prepping a whole week of food for my self. Perfect for mixing salads & cooked foods. Very large, if you have a very tiny sink in a small, it might be a slight challenge to clean, if you drop it down the stairs, it might dent. Stainless steel, NOT aluminum, made in India. Excellent Quality. Mirror finish, does not scratch easily, still looks 100% perfect & i've been using this bowl for 3 months so far.

Exactly what I was looking for and just the right size.

Great bowl. Comfortable to use and hold, easy to wash. For bread makers, a shower cap fits nicely over it in place of plastic wrap. My only complaint is the bottom flexes sometimes when I'm mixing vigorously by hand, which speaks to its material being on the thinner side. However, that does mean it's lightweight and inexpensive. For the price and ease of use and cleaning, I still give it 5 stars and would buy again.

First, the great part: This bowl is absolutely perfect to fit in one side of a double sink, 14" wide in the sink part. I was at first afraid the bowl's depth (or, rather, lack thereof) would not be useful, but its edges sit on the top sink edges and the bottom of the bowl clears the bottom so there is a clean edge flush with the top edge of the sink. This works great when I chop on a cutting board beside the sink; I can just slide the ingredients directly into the bowl and keep chopping. But the awful part is that, after one use, the surface at the bottom inside of the bowl turned up with a chip. Not a dent, a chip. I was only stirring with a regular spoon, and not hard, and it looks like a piece of the mirrored steel chipped off, leaving who knows what underneath. It looks like it's not entirely steel, in other words. Or maybe the mirror finish is layered on over another steel layer. Who knows? It makes me nervous to use it because of this, so I will probably only use it as a scrap bowl for peelings and such. At least I know what size to look for when I look for a better bowl, and I'm not out TOO much. Still, it's a bummer to be so thrilled and then so disappointed.
