AquaTeak The Original 18" Asia Teak Shower Bench

I rarely give 5 stars but this is the second product I have bought from them and I am again very pleased. Quality workmanship, wood is excellent, assembly instructions and marking perfect and easy to follow. The 3 shelf unit has been in my shower for years and still looks great so I expect the same with this seat.

One of the best buys ever. Great height, fits big butts, well made, super easy to put together & SOLID! We've had it for about 6 months & it still looks brand new - no mold, no cracks, no issues at all. It's comfortable and perfect for folks with balance issues or who need to sit down for any reason. I bought the cleaner & oil that I plan on applying at the 6 month mark. It's beautiful and would make a wonderful seat in or out of the shower. I'm going to get another one.

Things aren’t made like this anymore! First, the smell of the wood is great. Some manufacturers use awful stains that smell strong. This one is fine.I am 200 lbs and I can sit comfortably on this shower seat. I love that this is a more beautiful alternative to shower seats used for elderly people. This is a great solution if you are depressed or autistic and just need to take care of yourself.This is high quality and I think the price is fair.

Wey nice and solid. Easy assembly

The bench, once assembled, is beautiful, nice and heavy/sturdy, deserving of a 5 rating. Assembly, however, is a huge challenge, and takes it down one star. The instructions give only a diagram, not instructions about which pieces to connect first, how loose to leave the screws/bolts and what to do if the holes don’t align properly.We tried fitting one leg to the seat first, and immediately broke the wooden peg that is, presumably, there to provide a guide to properly align the screw holes. We solved that problem by digging out the wooden peg segment in the hole as best we could, then pounding the remainder down deep in the hole so the remaining stub would enter unobstructed. Then we attached the two legs using the crossbar. That was easy. Then we fit the 3-piece leg assembly onto the upside-down seat. Then the fun began. We tried to align all four holes and could not. Finally, we figured out that the problem must be the angle at which AquaTek folks pounded in the guidance peg into the leg. We got out our trusty Dremel tool, and sanded off about half of the diameter of the peg. Then the screws would go in, albeit less-than-perfectly straight.Based upon the hints from other buyers, we will now use lemon oil to put a protective coat on this puppy.
