Excellent planter. Easy to drill drainage holes
Delivery was fine, well handled and exactly on time. The planter is very light to handle and move when empty. It looks fragile and it is light to carry, but is strong. There are no drainage holes and this worried us before we placed the order, as some reviews express concerns about drilling into plastic. However, the planter seems constructed of a 'rubberised' plastic that is easy to drill through and appears not to crack. As the planter is made of thin material, we put a piece of wood that fitted under a section of the base and drilled a pilot hole using an electric drill and a small bit. We had to press hard and the piece of wood gave the base added support. We drilled 5 pilot holes in the first section and then, keeping the wood in place, drilled again using a larger drill in each pilot hole. We did this in each section, drilling 8 holes in the larger central section. The larger holes are about 0.5 cms. We easily put the planter in position, where it looks great. It is easy to put in position, being very light. Then we put a layer of gravel on the base and added compost. We also added some fertiliser and some water retaining crystals before planting. The filled planter, with compost and gravel, was stable and hard to move. so will not move in wind etc. We are very happy and may order a second planter to go at a right angle to the first . Thanks for an excellent product and excellent service.

Charles Bentley Lazio Trough Pewter Planter
I ordered this planter some time ago, but it didn't arrive. Having waited nearly one month for it, I got in touch with Amazaon, who in turn got in touch with the Seller. The planter arrived within two days, and I must say how very pleased I am with the product. It's the latticed one in the picture. I would have given it a score of 5 had there been drainage holes, which I had to drill myself. Also, that the company were not even aware that I hadn't received the item, and I had to alert them to this fact. However, on the whole, I'm ever so pleased with it, and I very rarely give a review.

STURDY
Arrived on Time, Nice and Sturdy - did see One Reviewer saying it Bulged when filled! Mine didn't, ordered one to begin with - so could see what it was like, once satisfied - ordered another. I have since Ordered & received a smaller Square one, also happy with it. I mentioned in my other Review - it has an Inner top Lip - which is great for carrying etc - BUT once plants r in there - I feel Slugs can use it as their Hotel & munch away @ ur Plants @ night. so I twisted some Newspaper and filled all around the Rim Lip once I had filled it up with gravel @ the bottom & composting soil. I stuffed it totally full - as do not want them to have Anywhere they can call home in my Planters...........lol Also - these do not have Holes in the bottom - some ppl said they Drilled them in! I Never Drill - to afraid the items am doing it to will Crack! So I use something of the Appropriate size, Heat it up, then Burn holes into the item, much better imo.

Good value for money
A good sturdy planter. The only thing is there's no drainage holes so it's necessary to drill a few holes in the bottom to allow the water to drain away and stop the soil going rancid. Looks great in place with plants in and the pewter design adds a bit of interest.

Perfect planter!
I bought this planter for a wisteria which I want to train on a wall. It is an ideal size for the plant, and really looks superb. I am really pleased with it.

Great trough
I bought this to match the neighbours one as we are synchronising our front gardens. I didn’t choose it as she had already made the choice but it’s lightweight and looks great. You will need to drill holes in the bottom as it doesn’t come with them.
