Comfortable
This is the most comfortable thumb split I've tried to date. The other were made with an extremely itchy fabric on the inside. One wasn't as bad as the other, but they were both itchy and were worse in the heat. This brace is set up the same as one of the others, but the inside fabric is smooth and non-irritating to me. Finally!It fastens via 3 hook and loop straps. If you have pets, the exposed loop fabric will be covered in pet hair about 2.5 seconds after removing the brace from the packaging. I snapped a picture for the review immediately after putting it on, but it's already covered in cat fur so I left the photo off.There is a medal piece that runs up the side of your wrist to the end of your thumb and the thumb strap fastens around it. Because my wrist is also braced, it's good for my carpel tunnel too.Good brace with interior fabric upgrade.

Stabilizes Thumb But Still Allows Use/Movement
Ordered according to size chart - with a wrist size of 7.5" I ordered the size S/M and it fits perfectly. The brace is comfortable to wear and provides solid support to the thumb without overly restricting use of the hand. I'm wearing it now as I type, no problem at all. I'll be using it on my left hand but I also tried it out on my right hand and it fits either hand quite well. The brace comes with a small user manual that is actually helpful, if you actually read it. Also comes with a card that gives you points of contact if needed. It always makes me feel better when a vendor provides a means of contacting them. The warranty is more than generous, offering a free replacement if the product cannot be used "normally" within 12 months as long as you register the product. Registration is easy and details are provided. Highly recommended.

Easy to apply with one hand. Sizing is pretty much spot on. Really helping.
My mom has arthritis in her right hand which for some reason causes her to clench her hand in her sleep. Her thumb gets the worst of it and really hurts in the morning. So with this and a joint supplement it helps keep away the pain (when she remembers to use it). The way it is designed makes it easy to apply with the other hand. The size description is pretty much correct. My mom wears small/medium gloves and this fits her quite well.Definitely sturdy and helping big time. 2 thumbs up :)
